1 out of 5 eggstotal piece of junk

Pros: light weight, attractive, nice screen...

Cons: Stopped working 1 day out of the box... did a factory reset and again it stopped working within 1 day. This machine is total junk.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat litttle computer, hidden BIOS settings

Pros: Nice screen, good keyboard touch, very fast boot time.

Cons: I can't find BIOS settings. There are no function keys per se, you hold down a FN key and use the number keys. I've tride the ESC key, the DEL key and F1 and F2 but cannot get into the BIOS. I am trying to boot from a USB stick. The Toshiba HWSETUP program has only a long list of HDD/SDD, with no USB selection. I also cannot turn off fast boot. It is disabled in Windows 10, but HWSETUP says it is still enabled. Very frustrating!

Other Thoughts: I would recommend, but only if you never want to boot from anything but the internal SDD.

5 out of 5 eggsSleek, fast and fun

Pros: Sleek and stylish, yet powerful, crisp, great display, hypersensitive keyboard and touch. Certainly for the price, it's an excellent deal. I haven't yet accessed Toshiba support, so I can only say that I seriously hope that a human who speaks my language, but with an accent that just doesn't fit into my ear, like Microsoft and HP, will not be the one handling my issues if and when I do call. Beats the hell outta my older HP 17" with an Intel I-7.

Cons: Battery charge life is too short

Other Thoughts: The Satellite Fusion seems suddenly to be on everyone's promo page, probably because Microsoft itself is pushing it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Value and Features

Pros: For how wide it is, it is surprisingly light. Not that I'd hold it all, but it won't put too much strain on you shoulder in a bag.
The keyboard has a nice feel to it, especially considering how thin it is.
The display is quite crisp when looking at it straight-on.
Having an SSD makes a world of difference; it's very fast and quiet, plus it saves the battery more than you'd think.
The battery lasts quite a while; I ran a Prime95 stress test while on the battery and it lasted almost two hours--impressive considering that it taxes the CPU and memory to there max operating values. Obviously it is an extreme case so I would expect it to last a lot longer than that under normal use.

Cons: When I first opened it, I noticed the bezel above the keyboard (the part with the speaker holes in it) was not flat; it snapped into place when I put pressure on it. I believe that was a manufacturing defect (I won't complain too much as it was easy to fix and it wasn't broke per se). This is the biggest issue yet.
The screen, though crisp and bright, does not fare well at even slight angles. I tried using it as a portrait tablet (taller than it is wide, e.g. the normal orientation of a piece of paper), but you can't see the whole screen at a glance--the angle your eyes make if the top of the screen is clear makes it gradually get dimmer/diffused as you look toward the bottom, unless you turn the tablet. I can see this becoming frustrating when trying to take notes on it while it is laying flat on a desk, which will be the primary use case for this laptop.
One more nuisance is the keyboard backlight. It is great to have it (I believe it should be a standard feature of all laptops), but there is no way to manually enable/disable it, either via an FN key or a software utility. The only thing I found was a BIOS setting that you can either have it always on, or set a timeout for like 10 or 15 seconds. This is poor usability in my opinion.

Other Thoughts: I bought this as a present for my fiancee for when she goes to graduate school; she has not used it yet, so it is hard to give a review at this point. I am reviewing on my brief encounter with it in terms of setting it up and whatnot.
