Great Laptop
- Pros: Great laptop. Beautiful screen, comfortable keyboard, and best of all -- good graphics card. I can even play NWN2 on it. Priced out comparable laptops at dell and hp, and I would have had to spend twice as much for their equivalent.
- Cons: Some exotic hardware components. If you buy this and intend to install Linux or an OS other than M$, then you may have some challenges. Running live CDs indicated problems in particular with sound.
Also, max is 2gb of ram.
- Other Thoughts: Stick another gig of ram in it. 1024 isn't a whole lot.
Great Laptop but order an extra gig of RAM
- Pros: This is a great laptop for the money. One could argue that the processor lacks enough cache and clock, but in everyday this machine is fast. Vista is a bit of a hog, but with the outstanding video card and an extra gig of RAM it is very usable. Although Vista has it issue overall it has been very good, and is a much better product at launch relative to the WinME debacle. Sound on this laptop is great by laptop standards. BT2.0 and built in webcam/mic make it a well rounded portable. Comes with a nice Targus case and mouse. Amazing value.
- Cons: Must have an extra gig of RAM to make Vista tolerable. Vista takes time to update and get used to, but after a week I am enjoying it.
- Other Thoughts: Buy a stick of Corsair RAM.
Great Laptop, Not so great OS
- Pros: Huge monitor. Great looking laptop and has a very good feel. Loud speakers with great added button setups
- Cons: VISTA VISTA VISTA!!!! All is good except that Vista requires, no DEMANDS way to much of your system resources. Laptop comes stock with 1 Gig of ram. This is not enough for Vistas demands!!!
- Other Thoughts: Easy fix for the Vista demands just upgrade with 2gigs Gskills ram to fix the Vista demands.
