Pros: Sleek machine and very powerful for its size and the price. Internal 801.22a/b/g/n adapter has an excellent range. The processor provides decent speed for most applications and the video card can handle newer games at medium settings. ASUS also offers a 1 year guarantee for accidental damage if you register the product within 60 days, a very nice guarantee.

Cons: The stock 1.5GB memory and 5400rpm drive makes this machine seem much more sluggish than it needs to be, do yourself a favor and spend another $170 on a 2GB memory upgrand and a 7200rpm 120GB HD. It also Get's kind of hot, but given everything that's packed into this little machine it's to be expected. Also the memory is only upgradable to 2.5 GB DDR2 unlike other modern laptops which are capable of 4GB. Also, the battery life is relatively short, you'll be lucky if you get 2 hours out of it. Finally, the keyboard is kind of cramped, but again given its size and features, it's understandable.

Other Thoughts: For $1300 this is a good deal, anything comprable made by Sony or any other reputable company with the same features is going to cost you at least $2k. However, they should have offered a model with a standard 7200rpm drive and the full 2.5GB of memory. If you're looking for portability at a decent price, this notebook is for you.
