Exellent computer!!!
- Pros: I've owned this lappy for about 9 months and the performance is still great. The price is still great for what you get. I'm definitely buying from asus again.
- Cons: The chrome around the touchpad started to chip off a little... thats about it, runs great still and im still very pleased with it!
- Other Thoughts: the Laptop bag that it comes with is very sharp and looks professional. battery doesn't last long, only because it uses a lot of power to run the 512 3d card and the 2.5 gigahert cpu.
Great dual-boot with Ubuntu 64-bit!
- Pros: Crispy screen; (with ambient light feature off) keyboard key stroke action is great! This is a very good price for the hardware. SATA HDD! Didn't care about the finger print reader when I ordered it, but is super handy! Or use the facial regontion!
- Cons: 800mhz FSB with the T8100 CPU; wish it had the P8400 with 1066mhz FSB. No USB 3.0
- Other Thoughts: Screen dim's (due to the ambient light feature) on Ubuntu, and requires a simple command line fix found on Ubuntu forums. Otherwise it's a perfect install.

- Pros: Screen Brightness, keyboard and touchpad are wonderful, very light compared to HP notebooks, video card performs well, price is competitive
- Cons: 2.1Ghz Processor + (5400 rpm)hard drive = average - poor performance in Photoshop and multitasking with read/write heavy activities. Screen is VERY grainy looking. I have owned almost every brand notebook and this is one of the worst screens I have ever dealth with in terms of clarity. Brightness was okay, but it looks very noisy. Unacceptable.
- Other Thoughts: While it might be suitable for gaming in terms of FPS, I do not think this is a very well balanced machine. What good is Blu Ray going to do for you if the screen has below average-poor clarity. It's like driving a mid level Porsche through a rainstorm. It's cute, but hard to see.
