Neat Little Machine!
- Pros: Awesome little computer that does great for what it is designed for. Got the pink one for my wife, which elevated me to "greatest husband ever" status!
Got a black one for me! :)
- Cons: The keyboard could have just a bit more tactile feel.
- Other Thoughts: Do some digging around and check the numerous websites about these out there, there are some really neat tricks for them!
Rock Solid.
- Pros: Light weight. Small!! I really can't emphasize that enough!!! Great battery life. The wifi card is way above standard, I'm literally writing this from my back yard approximately 125 feet from my router with 90% signal, WRT54G with no mods. The screen is incredibly bright, and very easy to read even for extended periods of time. The built in SDHC card reader is a real plus. This thing is fast too. It boots in about 20 seconds (full desktop not original simplified gui). The sound card is particularly good. I was taken aback by it's quality. I'm a huge audiophile and I prefer to use this lappy to listen to music. Debian Linux is good too!
- Cons: Locked down system. DON'T edit the /etc/sudoers file!!!! It will cause your system to fail and you'll have to reinstall it. The keyboard is small ( please see other thoughts). Web cam isn't needed for a laptop like this. No Disk drive D: Small screen ( see other thoughts ). No LED's for Numblock or Capslock, and no LED's for the SDHC access. Speakers lack umph. Right/left click buttons are the same bar. The keyboard's space bar is touchy, same with control, they don't always work. The right shift ( my preferred ) is too small and it is right next to the up key on the directional pad which is bad for me because I do a lot of work in the bash shell of Linux.
- Other Thoughts: The screen is a decent size. However, for the price of this unit, I would have liked to have seen a bigger screen ( sans webcam ). The keyboard is small and I have large hands. It isn't difficult to type accurately, but there are times when I find myself making more mistakes than I would like to.
Lastly I would like to note the Linux install. If you have the external disk drive necessary, I would recommend that you put another distribution on here. The pre installed distro is very nice, however, it is too tailored to the system and it can definitely impact your work capacity if you are a power user. I found myself without the ability to run some of my essential apps ( I'm a mathematician and I'd like to run sage or genius on here ). However, for the time being, this little lappy gets a 5/5, or a 9/10 in a more elaborate rating scale. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a solid mobility solution. It definitely is not a desktop replacement.

Great little PC
- Pros: Great little PC for surfing the internet at home and on the go.
- Cons: Small keys, right shift key is kind of awkward.
- Other Thoughts: For what the product is and what the costs are, this is a great little machine. Fits right in my purse, set it up to tether with my blackberry and now I get internet anywhere on the go. :)
