5 out of 5 eggsASUS M51Sn-B1

Pros: The BEST laptop I ever owned. I will not let go of it for a long time. 3 Gb RAM and 9500 GS graphic card give it a tremendous boost comparing to most other laptops in same price range. Quiet and effcient, will satisfy 99% of people out there who want to do some work and still be able to play some games, even the newest titles.

Cons: CPU isn't top of the line, but for this money you can get now only one better and that is next in line from same series - ASUS M51Sn-C1. I'd prefet 9x00 GT graphic card inside, but hey, for this $$$ it's one of the best if not the best.

Other Thoughts: Get newest adition in this line, C1, or if you can spare 200 $ get yourself one with newest CPU from Intel family, T8300, you will see the improvement. Stil, even like this, this is a GREAT laptop!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Performer

Pros: Excellent performance for the cost. I was surprised that I could run all of my newest titles on it without problems. The aesthetics of the case are wonderful. The piano-black finish is really beautiful. I love the full size keys and the full numpad is a bonus as well. The screen is bright and very sharp. I lamented the fact that it has a max rez of 1280x800, but once I saw the screen in person, I am no longer worried about it.

I also like the biometric login options. Fingerprint software is nice. The Asus Smartlogon can even recognize your face and log in when you look at the camera.

I also like the free laptop bag and optical laptop mouse.

Cons: I do not like the way the hard drive is partitioned. Out of the 250GB hdd, 60% is for C: (OS), and 40% for D: (Data). While I appreciate having 2 partitions, Vista hardly needs 120+ GB for an install. You also lose around 8GB for the ASUS recovery partition. The recovery options are rather limited and will not allow you to set custom partition sizes.

Other Thoughts: Love it.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic machine

Pros: Great specs, video card is a beast with WoW (settings set fairly high and i'm getting 120fps in orgrimmar without vertical sync). Crisp screen. 3gb is a must considering Vista takes 700MBs while idle. The 1-year accidental damage warranty is an under-the-radar perk.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: It was left on my front porch with delivery. I'm not sure if that's my fault/UPS's fault/newegg's fault, but it just kinda caught me off guard. Fortunately, i got back from work 30 minutes after delivery so it wasn't sitting there for too long.

5 out of 5 eggsAn Awesome System!

Pros: I shopped around at least a month reading reviews, checking prices, etc. before buying this system and I am very glad I did. I do a lot of online gaming and this notebook is just plain awesome. My framerate on Warcraft averages between 70 - 90 and the NIVIDIA card runs very smoothly with great graphics. This system also handles PhotoShop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver with ease. The free laptop case was an added bonus too! I highly recommend this laptop for the price! Newegg was awesome with 2 day delivery too!

Cons: Only thing I have seen is that you can't use all 4GB's of the ram unless you have the Windows 64 bit, which requires an upgrade to Vista Ultimate. No thanks, 3 GB's does just fine.

Other Thoughts: Only thing I wish is that the fingerprint reader wasn't so darn picky with the scans. It can be a royal pain.

5 out of 5 eggsHigh end laptop for those wanting to pay a budget price!

Pros: Excellent processing speed and 3 Gigs of RAM coupled with a great graphics card make this a fast machine able to handle the most demanding applications and games. Was able to run Crysis on Medium settings in DX10 quite well which I find to be a hell of an accomplishment on laptops. Don't be fooled by the price, its a fully loaded system.

Cons: Glossy case does get a lot of fingerprints on it but the laptop includes a nice microfiber cleaning cloth to remedy this.

Other Thoughts: Along with the laptop ASUS included a carrying case, a mouse, and a microfiber cloth in the box. The software for the built in webcam is great fun. This company knows how to take care of its customers.

I would rate this laptop, considering all of its features and its price, 10 out of 10.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat laptop, great price!

Pros: Excellent memory, cpu speed, and HD space. Runs games great. I play Eve Online, WoW and FPS games on it (Counter Strike, HL2, etc). Excellent FPS. Great nVidia card. Keys feel nice and solid. The whole notebook feels really solid. Definitely the best notebook I've had yet. So far I have had really great success with Asus notebooks. My GF has one as well and it plays stuff great.

Cons: No cons at all.

Other Thoughts: Excellent laptop for both gamers and regular users alike. Plenty of power!

5 out of 5 eggsbest bang for your buck, period.

Pros: Guys, this laptop is a sharp looking machine the photos dont do it justice. Good battery life, charges fast and great feel on kepboard. Runs vista fast, feels like xp... i think I will keep it too. Asus rocks to throw is a bag, a mouse, and an awesome warranty; find that with another brand! You just cant get this level of performance on a new laptop for this price anywhere.

Cons: none at all.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat notebook / World of Warcraft

Pros: This notebook is great, at first I was reluctant to use this machine with Windows Vista, but it felt very snappy and overall very fast. I am going to end up keeping it, instead of rolling back to XP. The nVidia 9500M GS built in is powerful, I am easily able to run World of Warcraft with settings maxxed and can get nearly 100-150FPS, and down to about 75 in larger areas with V-sync turned off. The default resolution on the display is 1280x800, so I decided to put it on my external 22" LCD @ 1680x1050 and the performance hardly dropped. The quality of the webcam built in is good, and the mic does a good job as well. The machine comes with very few junk applications installed which is a great thing, the Asus utilities installed are helpful and do not seem to have any performance impact out the door. The only thing I uninstalled was Microsoft 2007 Office Trial. Vista SP1 is not installed by default, so download and install it right away.

Cons: The notebook glossy case can get smudge pretty easily, but they do give a cloth specifically for the screen and one for the case which are handy.

Other Thoughts: This isn't a con, but something to think about. The keyboard has a keypad on the right side. Because of this, the keyboard is not centered as most keyboards are on notebooks. This means that where your hands rest on the edge of the notebook, the bottom of your hand will hit the mouse touch pad which clearly can be annoying. Luckily you can disable tap to click which helps prevent a lot of that. I would suggest using an external keyboard / mouse combo if possible or flat out disable the mouse touchpad.

5 out of 5 eggsBang for the buck

Pros: Solid laptop, great price. 2.5 hour battery life...once tweaked. Charging to 100% from 50% take about 30mins. Build quality is top notch. Full size keyboard is great, though some buttons are compressed. Love the bag and Logitech Laser mouse they throw in. The web cam is pretty good.

Cons: Not so much CONS, versus potential pains in the keester... Glossy screen may be a problem in bright light environment, so far it looks great in indoor lighting. The beautiful black case is a fingerprint magnet. VISTA is a resource hog, but after some tweaking it's not so bad. The hard-drive is split in half, just have to remember to load data on the D:\ drive instead of jamming the C:\

Other Thoughts: This laptop is going to be my link to the world for the next 9 months, so I am going to be very critical of any design flaws. I plan to put it through hell in the next month before I need to rely on it completely. In the short period of time I have owned it, I believe it is more than capable of handling anything I'll throw at it. Updates to come.
