best laptop I have ever had
- Pros: fast fast fast, clear vivid colors, 1 TB storage, blu-ray, all the bells and whistles needed for enjoyable computing, plays tiger woods flawlessly
- Cons: a fingerprint magnet, but pros far outweigh the prints
- Other Thoughts: this machine is only slowed by my fricken slow internet

- Pros: 18.4" screen @ 1920x1080px
No dead/stuck pixels on arrival
Two 500GB Hard Drives @ 5400rpm (1TB total)
Two 2GB modules of RAM (4GB total)
Blu-ray @ 2x
Wireless b/g/n and Bluetooth
Near silent operation
No issues with software installation whatsoever.
- Cons: Like most name-brand notebooks/desktops, the ASUS N90Sv-A2 comes bundled with useless software right out of the box. Mostly trial versions of programs.
LARGE
The size of this notebook may be a turn-off for some people. Take the time to measure out the dimensions, this thing is big.
Being dual-core, it doesn't multitask as well as my quad-core desktop.
- Other Thoughts: As a power user, I found the majority of the software bundled with the notebook useless.
This notebook is much bigger than I anticipated. I strongly recommend sketching out the dimensions.
The ASUS N90Sv-A2 weighs at most 12lbs including the battery.
Blu-ray Issues - No Customer Srvc
- Pros: Huge high-def screen, 1TB hard-drive, cool looking case
- Cons: The first one I got, the Blu-ray player buzzed and rattled and every time I tried to install the Blu-ray player software I got an error. Took it to an I.T. friend of mine - he couldn't make it work. Called Asus tech support...told me to call the reseller...returned it for an exchange.
Second one arrived, Blu-ray software will still not install. Again called Asus, they would not speak to me because it is "a new purchase". I give up, for $1700 I expect the laptop to actually work...call me crazy. This company obviously has some production problems and is not willing to support it's products. Do NOT recommend this laptop at all. Instead, go with Dell, Sony, or something from Best Buy, at least they stand behind their products.
