Pros: We have had an Asus 901 for several months, and we've loved every day with it... so when we went looking for a second netbook, we knew what we wanted to find. This one is everything we loved about the smaller one, but better.
The screen is gorgeous, the keyboard is very easy to use (I am 6'4" tall with basketball hands, small keyboards annoy me alot, but this one is great for me) and the textured touchpad takes getting used to, but is great after the adjustment.
The blue exterior is a work of art in and of itself, and ranks among the most attractive portables I have seen.
This model has the newest N WiFi, and connected immediately at 150 Mbps right out of the box. The 901 runs 135 Mbps, so I was very pleasantly surprised at this upgrade.
The battery life on this one is astounding, I expected the larger screen would not rival the 901, but this one DOES last as long as the smaller one.
Cons: The outside is gorgeous but fingerprints show easily.
The 8.5 hour battery life is only accurate for minimal functions (M$ Office for example will likely run for that duration) but movies and music take a major toll on the battery life. Plan accordingly.
I cannot think of ANY other complaints with this wonderful netbook.
Other Thoughts: If you want a GREAT mobile computer, look no further, this one is the real deal. Newegg had it here just slightly slower than INSTANTLY (best shipping speed in the world, I swear!) and the price is GREAT. Grab this netbook and you will be glad you did.

Pros: I have owed and loved the ASUS Netbooks since they became available, and the improvements in eee PC 1005 Series continue to reinforce my belief that ASUS is at the top of their game.
I am especially happy that ASUS redesigned the keyboard.
Cons: None...this is a great machine at a great price.

my first netbook

Pros: The battery life is arguably the best feature of this product. It's really amazing how many hours you can squeeze out. Keyboard is fine for me though I have average/small sized hands. It surfs the web and plays .avi files just fine. Hard drive is spacious and has recovery files. Gotta love Windows XP SP3 =)
Cons: After a few months of use the hard drive occasionally makes some loud clicking noises, the be fine the next time I turn it on...very strange. Sound output to headphones/speakers could be better. The wireless card could also be better.
Other Thoughts: You've read it all before: tracks fingerprints and smudges. The seashell design is also a little strange at first but it seems solidly built. People with very large hands might go crazy trying to type on it but the keyboard is a little better than other netbooks I've seen.
