Pros: Great and Small product for a 10 year old girl. She likes that is very small and lightweight for her to move around the house and sometimes take it on the road and watch her favorite tv shows. Good web cam and nice layout keyboard.
Cons: AC adapter failed today. She comes and tells me that her netbook wont turn on. Luckily the battery had 10 minutes left of charge. I started to do some research and decided to stop by here first since I ordered here. Well little to no surprise this issue has been address by other customers. I have yet contact Asus but I will in a matter of minutes when I get the chance.
Other Thoughts: Bought this netbook for my 10 year old daughter as a birthday gift. Around September 10th. Everything worked fine until today where the AC unit fail. Come here to find out there is an on-going issue with it.
I always tell her to use the AC adapter without the battery since it will kill the life span of the battery if is always plug to the netbook. If they battery is 100% then take the battery out and let AC do the work. If you are moving around the house, use the battery itself.
Forgot to mention this is the 2nd Asus Eee netbook that I have purchase. The first one was for my fiancee and she had problems which were totally different from the one above.
Cons: Just like other reviewers, my Eee PC 1005HA has also been having problems where the battery won't charge. The laptop works fine with the power adapter plugged in and both Windows and the laptop report that the battery's fully charged when it's actually completely dead.
And to top it all off ASUS tech support has been dragging their feet on getting it replaced.
We apologize for this issue you are experiencing with your EeePC. Please contact us at OC_Support@asus.com and reference case number NE0066 so that we can get more information about the issue and assist you with the RMA process.

Pros: It's a nice looking machine. But that's about all I can say that's good about it.
Cons: I bought this netbook and within a week found that the netbook no longer would recognize the power adapter. The power adapter appeared to be working (light illuminated) but the netbook failed to charge at all. Giving ASUS the benefit of the doubt (big mistake), I exchanged the netbook for a new one from the great people at New Egg. Now two months later, the power adapter has failed completely. Are you kidding me? I have owned at least 7 laptops in my life and have NEVER had issues like this. What's in store for me as the netbook ages? Based on my experience, I recommend you avoid ASUS all together and pay a little extra for Dell, HP or Sony. By the way, I'm not the only reviewer on here who's had trouble with their power adapter, so this ISN'T an isolated incident.
We apologize that you're having issues with the power adapter for this unit. Please contact us at 812-282-2787 or http://vip.asus.com/eservice/techserv.aspx and reference case number NE600364 so that we may get more details about the issue and assist you with the RMA process.
