Great Buy
- Pros: Crisp screen display
Pretty good grsphics card
Built in Bluetooth Antenna
Ability to upgrade to Windows 7
500GB HDD
- Cons: Speakers are a little weak
Widows Vista 32 Bit only gives you usage of 3 of your 4 gb of RAM
- Other Thoughts: You can't find a better laptop for the price. So far it hs been able to handle most of my games on close to max settings. Granted you won't get the performance of s specialty gamer that has the GTX 280M SLI configuration but you also won't get a laptop like that for near this price. All in all it makes a pretty good on the go gaming machine for an amazingly cheap price.
Great Product for the Price
- Pros: Price, hardware, size. The price is a great deal. I was looking for a laptop that had at least 2 GHz processor speed, 4 GB of RAM, 500 MB HDD, and a decent graphics card for gaming, all for under $900. This laptop meets or exceeds all that I was looking for. It loads up very fast, I would say less then a minute to boot up. The graphics card is great, at least great for me. I won't be playing too many games that need a very strong graphics card, but this card should accommodate most new games. I installed Gothic 3 (not a new game, but needs a decent graphics card) and was able to run it on High with no problems. I couldn't even play it on my last laptop.
If you are on a budget and looking for a great laptop, look no further. This laptop is great for home use, surfing the web, or as a gaming laptop, all for under $900.
- Cons: I don't really have any cons. The only issues are the sound isn't the best, but it's not horrible. The left and right mouse buttons are a little loud, but not a big deal. The boarder around the screen is a little bit big. They could have increased the screen size, or make the laptop a little smaller (see below). It does come with bloatware and Vista, but you get a free upgrade for Windows 7 through ASUS.
- Other Thoughts: The laptop is a lot smaller then I thought it would be. That's not a bad thing. I was expecting a little more bulk, but it's a nice tight design. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the design and color. I saw some pics and videos and thought that it was ok looking. Pics and vids don't give it justice. This laptop is beautiful. The color is unique and the design is sharp. The keyboard layout takes a little to get used to, but it's a nice design. Haven't had the chance to try out the webcam for chatting, but I opened it up and messed around with some of the options and it has nice picture quality.
It comes with a 1 year accidental damage warranty through ASUS, you can't beat that. Be sure to register and get your free Windows 7 upgrade.
