4 out of 5 eggsnot dual

Pros: lightweight
small ps

Cons: slow

Other Thoughts: I ordered this thinking it was the Win7 Prof and 2 gig mem version of the nVidia settlement offering for the HP tablet, but find now that I think about it, the settlement netbook has a dual processor Atom N570. I have not reasearched the performance differences yes.

2 out of 5 eggsGlitch-ish

Pros: Very lightweight and portable. the tablet id exactly what I was looking for and expected.

Cons: I am not sure if mine was defective however, the start up time was extremely long and would lag when it was already running. It couldn't multitask well at all. I only had it for two days and was fed up with the fact that it's brand new and it has this many problems. It would make sense if I had downloaded more than one thing on it but, The only thing I put on the computer was Microsoft office.

Other Thoughts: Personally I really liked the size, portability, and tablet portion of it however, I don't like the entirety of problems I have come across with it. I would have rather dished out the extra 300 for an HP PC tablet.

5 out of 5 eggsVery happy camper!

Pros: I have yet to run into any problems with it. The touchscreen feature is really nice in that you can rest your wrist on the screen as well while you write ("pen mode"). It's perfect for taking notes in class: I can type up lecture notes and insert hand-drawn figures/charts/graphs to supplement the lecture as well (w/Microsoft One Note - which doesn't come pre-loaded, btw.)

I don't really use it for gaming, but I did put the Sims Medieval on it just to see and it actually ran pretty well. (The game still runs better on a desktop, obviously.)

Also, it comes with some nice little touchscreen games loaded on it... Microsoft Blackboard, e.g. (like Crayon Physics on a chalkboard.) Playing other standard Microsoft games on it in the tablet configuration was pretty neat too since I've never owned a tablet PC.

My other laptop is old as the hills and only gets a battery life of ~1 hour, so this Eee PC having a 6-hour battery life (on power saving mode) was incredible.

Cons: I'm extra careful with the screen when I swivel it. It's mounted in the center, so it seems a bit scary until you get used to it.

The extra layer on the screen (for the touchscreen) makes it look a bit off at first, but you get used to that in no time as well.

5 out of 5 eggsAsus netbook with touch screen

Pros: Small and very portable. Touch screen works great, it's different than an ipad screen so it is not really comparable. All the features work great. I tend to use the stylus more often than my fingers.

Battery life is 6 hours

Cons: I have not found any cons yet, but I am very careful with the rotating screen. It seems pretty solid, but one drop or bad hit on the screen could cause a problem since it is only mounted in the middle.

Other Thoughts: I got the touchscreen version just to have an extra feature. I didn't know how much I would be using it, but I turned out to be pretty useful. The computer specs are a little lower than an Eee PC without a touch screen, but I have not noticed any problems with performance.

I don't use it for gaming (at the moment), just for web browsing and school work. Great for movies and will play Plants vs Zombies

I would highly recommend this computer to anyone needing a small portable laptop for school, work, or entertainment. Not a gaming laptop, but with the 2gb version you can get away with a few games on lower settings.
