4 out of 5 eggsGood for what it is

Pros: Compact, lightweight, looks good. Handles what I give it (within reason).

Cons: Touchpad too sensitive. Win7 Starter. Hardware limit of 2gb.

Other Thoughts: The same as the last review I am just out of warranty and it has started to lock-up on me. Keep it out of 'Super Performance' and the issue seems to stop. I just can't watch 1080p videos on my flatscreen anymore.

4 out of 5 eggsOkay netbook

Pros: Plays some games
Can handle some hd video

Cons: The netbook recently has been having fan issues, causing the netbook to crash from overheating every 30-40 minutes. And sadly the warranty just expired 2 months ago, so I'm outta luck.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty awesome netbook

Pros: -Dual-core threaded Atom Processor (Window Task Manager reports 4 processors)
-Bluetooth 3.0
-The webcam has a slide cover so you won't have to stick a piece of tape to cover it up
-I like how they have the FN keys on both keyboards, that way you can page down with just your right hand
-The ethernet jack is pretty interesting...theres a hinge on the bottom, and you'd think you would have a hard time plugging in a cable, but you don't, slides in pretty easily
-The nVidia ION 2 is pretty nice, it runs Minecraft with high settings no problem
-nVidia Optimus allows you to run two different video cards
-Everything runs pretty fast, touchpad is really responsive, keyboard is nice to the touch
-Sharp crisp screen, everything looks really good on here, and is bright
-Runs on battery pretty long, about 4 hours

Cons: -This thing can get pretty hot when you stick with the ION, and even on battery power, the fan is still running, but stays cool.
-They should just start you off with 2GB of RAM because you'll eventually get it, then you're stuck with a 1GB stick of RAM just laying around.
-Expressgate OS is pretty bad, its not any faster than your 'Normalgate OS'. What they should have done is embed 8GB (or more) of SSD as a secondary hard drive and allow you to install your own OS on that. It'll just be two standard hard drives and pressing that tiny half button will just boot to that drive instead of your normal drive

Other Thoughts: This is the first netbook I owned, and it's pretty gosh darn great! The bluetooth, hdmi, and webcam cover were a plus that you don't normally find in most netbooks around this price range. Pair this up with an hdmi monitor, a Microsoft 5000 bluetooth mice, a wireless keyboard and you got a desktop replacement for most people. I also got a bluetooth gps so I can also use this for navigation. I was having some issues with the touchpad, but getting the drivers and lowering the sensitivity helped it a lot.

4 out of 5 eggsNot a bad netbook

Pros: - N570 CPU the fastest in a 10" platform
- ION 2 GPU runs 720p flash video [youtube] flawlessly and 1080p well
- The color is acutally quite attractive, despite pictures not being available
- Runs aero glass on Win 7 pro

Cons: - WSVGA is too small (Acer has a 1280 x 720 screen in a 10" model)
- 1 GB of ram cripples this system. With Windows 7 usage is constantly between 500 and 850 mb
- Win 7 starter is a joke
- only accepts 1 2GB DIMM
- DIMM must have no more than 8 memory chips total (4 per side) for computer to boot - 16 is common
- Touchpad is far too sensitive for someone with adult sized hands...I recommend turning off double tap to click

Other Thoughts: This CPU/CPU combo has what is takes to run pretty much anything you can throw at it (within reason), which is more than can be said for single core atom solutions sans discrete card. I would have preferred an AMD solution, but the CPU side of the C-50 is just a little too weak for Windows 7 (IMO and with the way I use netbooks). The C-60 should make things a lot more competitive.

Windows Experience Index
Processor (N 570) - 3.4
Memory (1 GB) - 4.5
Graphics (ION 2, 8 Cuda cores) - 3.4
Gaming Graphics - 4.8
HDD - 5.6
