ASUS A53U-ES22 Notebook AMD Dual-Core Processor E-450(1.65GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory DDR3 750GB HDD 5400rpm DVD±R/RW AMD Radeon HD 6320

Pros: Its an ASUS.

Cons: Thought this computer would be faster with a dual core processor but it is not. Very slow. HDD is partitioned. There are a lot of excess programs loaded onto the computer that are not needed.

Pros: Very good Laptop. Comes with a big Ole' hard drive (5400rpm probably wont be nice for windows but ill likely swap it for a 320 @7200 (Its for my mom)! As far as hardware it has All the bells n whistles so to me it all comes down to the ergonomics.

THe keypad feels great, and I like house the mouse/touchpad has this feature where it curves up along the edge so that u know where the edge is. Great A+ feature!!!

Also I really appreciate that the Hard Drive is Factory Partitioned with 1. Restore Partition. 2. System 3. Data (Cut n Paste Your User's Docs, downloads, etc into this partition...)

This is very important for Techs who dont wanna have to format
the Drive or maek changes risking the Factory Recovery inoperable. But I use Acronis nonetheless.
I did use partition Magic to make the system smaller. I lowered it to about 100GB which is ample space for windows n Programs. Which leaves more space for the Data Partition!!
Didnt come with Much bloatware. Uninstalled most in a

Cons: .... none

Other Thoughts: Very Light!! I was surprised ath the full keyboard. even has the numpad buttons. I kept wondering if I had the wrong size >15.6"!!

Pros: Cheap !!!!
It's an ASUS !!!!
Big Hard Drive
Not too much bloatware

Cons: Processor is the weak link...kinda slow.
Wasn't free.

Other Thoughts: I am very happy with ASUS customer service on other items!!
