ASUS N55SL-ES71 Notebook Intel Core i7 2670QM (2.20GHz) 8GB Memory 750GB HDD NVIDIA GeForce GT 635M 15.6" Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

Pros: Sound (Speakers), Graphics, Speed, RAM all nice and the design is really sleek and nice. Has been running a lot and runs fairly cool. Have not played a high graphics game on it yet but it ran a mid-level graphics game at ultra very smoothly and stayed cool. When I get a chance I will run Guild Wars 2 on it and update.

Cons: HDD Speed shows it's head
Keyboard is a bit funky especially with the FN key on the right side of the left CTRL key. I may still need to get used to it but so far I have hit FN+V about 10 times which starts up the camera instead of CTRL+V (Same issue with CTRL+C/CTRL+X but those don't start up camera). I suspect I will turn that shortcut off but it is still annoying.

Other Thoughts: The Pros for this computer are great and the cons are not really a big issue. I really wanted to give this computer a 5 rating, and would of except for the fact that not even 1 day after getting the computer the audio out/headset jack died on me. I understand that there are issues with some computers, but not even 1 day? really? I use music as a barrier between myself and the world when I work and I use headphones to not impede others but now I can't. I would send this computer back in, but I have a website going to beta in 2 weeks and I absolutely need this computer until then which rules out sending it back for a replacement at the moment. I love the computer, but things like that shouldn't break, especially so soon.

Pros: I have been a loyal customer of Newegg for Many years and have told Many Many people about how efficient and good Newegg service is.

Cons: I tried to buy this laptop for my daughter, same last name. Newegg suggested a backpack carriers, so I got it too. A few minutes later my backpack order was rejected. I called Discover, they said they approved it, but then Newegg tried to duplicate the charge, so the duplicate was rejected. I figured, "At least she will get the laptop." WRONG. Two days later I get another notice the bank rejected my Discover Card -- impossible -- I have used it constantly since 1986.
So I repeated the entire order using a backup Visa. That order was rejected immediately. It is impossible to get Newegg on the phone so I am writing this review.

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately, I will now re-order, for a 3rd time, using somebody that is NOT Newegg. I can no longer recommend Newegg to anyone. What happened?

Pros: -8gb of Ram
-i7
-750gb HDD (big enough for all steam games I could ever put on it)
-Awesome graphics card (with one con)

Cons: -HDD read/write speed is a little low and the "Windows Experience" will rate it at about a 6 if I remember correctly
-The GT635m card doesn't have an official driver from Nvidia for Windows 7 yet (as of 5-20-12), and the driver provided by ASUS caused some newer games (Mass Effect 3, Skyrim, Witcher 2) to crash on startup. However since it is based off of the GT555m you can install the driver for that and everything works perfectly! I'm sure this issue would be fixed soon by Nvidia

Other Thoughts: It runs Diablo3 and Skyrim on high without overheating, and that's everything I need it to do. I got this after my tax rebate and have absolutely no regrets. This is a great gaming laptop.

Pros: Where to begin? For all the power this laptop has its battery life is amazing, its also very light weight for whats its packing under the hood.

It has everything you want in a gaming laptop without spending twice as much, and the speakers are the best of any laptop I have ever seen.

As another reviewer mentioned it does not have a lot of crapware on it, and in fact its the first computer in 15 years I have not immediately wiped and installed a clean copy of windows on.

Cons: None really. the keyboard takes some getting used to but laptop keyboards have always felt a bit odd to me.

Also, ASUS markets the N-series laptops as mobile entertainment, but this one does not have a Blu-ray drive, but that's really just splitting hairs for me.

Other Thoughts: I think this laptop is a perfect balance between price, size, weight and performance. I would recommend it to anyone.

Pros: It is a great balance between battery life and performance. I am able to play the Diablo 3 Beta on medium-high settings on this with ease. It also runs very cool!

Cons: Not really that big of a deal but the 5400 rpm hard drive does show it's colors. I will be tossing an SSD in it soon.

Other Thoughts: It didn't have all that much bloatware on it which I was very surprised.

Pros: super fast, east to upgrade, sleek look

Cons: I pay a thousand Euro for this machine, hopefully to get a decent super fast laptop, the pc stop charging after 3 months for reason I don't know, I try everything to make it work again, finally I contact the agent how represent Asus in Ireland, they collect the computer from me since 2 weeks.
No contact since that, they send it to Holland, to fix it, Asus they don't have repair office in Ireland or UK!!!!, last think I hear it the process could take up to 6 weeks minimum.
Really disappoint Asus, I am back to Dell.
