Cons: lots of blue screen, mouse freezing, display driver recovering. power supply arrive dead

Other Thoughts: Read a lots of review, I guess I am a kind of gambler to bet this one will be working, sadly worst experience ever with Asus refurbished item, newegg has it rmaed, still waiting for the machine, just wasted time

Pros: High performance, good price (not low but ok). Play Need for speed 10, Red Alarm 3 with maximum effects running smoothly. The fan is quiet. Audio is OK. People who pursuit a better sound effects may need get a bose speaker. Get a 16GB 2x8 memory by $82 to replace the original 8GB 2x4 memory. Plan to sell the old one by $30.

Cons: So...........big and heavy. I am used to bring my laptop to starbucks. It is no way to do that now. It is more than 10 lbs... battery + machine. I treat it as a desktop.

The quality of LED and Audio should match the high performance. Hope ASUS is going to improve that soon.

Other Thoughts: I don't understand why some people complain. The price is not high, the performance is ok. I deleted many useless original softwares. It takes about 40 sec to start this machine.

Pros: Looks nice
Very quiet
Good specs

Cons: BSOD constantly (first bsod happened within 3 days)
Slowest boot ever
Asus will not get back to me with my RMA
Laptop comes filled with useless and annoying programs
Again, Asus customer support sucks

Other Thoughts: I will never buy a refurbished item ever again after this experience. You would think they would make sure the item would work properly before sending it out.

Pros: none at the moment

Cons: With in days of getting this machine, we started having problems. Was told some things to do to correct them from support which I did only to have to keep doing that. Missed being able to send it back to Newegg by 3 days so had to return to ASUS. Support had me ship the machine to California along with a sheet to allow them to fix it. This was all done. Took over 2 weeks to get there because UPS let it sit in their center for 6 days waiting for room on the truck. It's been there now 2 days and I was told a 3 day turn around, but when I call I am told that I was sent an email asking permission to recover the system. To date I have not gotten an email asking anything, so I told the man to please note that I wanted the machine fixed. I had had it less than a month and for them to do what needed to be done to fix it. He said he would note it but I would need to still respond to the email. Frankly though this machine promised to be wonderful, it has fallen very far from the mark. I am not happy with the customer support I have received from ASUS and would not recommend purchasing one of their computers.

Other Thoughts: The number you can call takes you to India and when you try to call the number here in the US you are told you have to call that number.

Pros: Well it worked out of the box, refurbished but who cares having saved $500, its well worth it. Fast and seemless

Cons: Wish it was just a bit smaller, i knew its size before hand so its not a real con, but know what your getting before hand or else your in for a surprise.

Other Thoughts: its refurbished, there might be some things missing, like for myself i was missing two rubber screen screw hiders. but for $500 off the new price, im not complaining. Also, stuff happens that first one may not be perfect or might have an issue, just RMA and get anew one, again your still saving money over paying the new price.

Pros: This computer is powerful on every aspect. I am able to play every game on max or close to max setting flawlessly. Love the screen resolution and price for such a powerful laptop.

Cons: There are a few cons with this machine, but the good far outways the bad.

Cons: -none, I love everything about it.

Other Thoughts: This is a great machine! I love everything about it. I am an Animator and 3D Artist. This machine can handle everything I throw at, and then some. Able to work (without issue) in a pretty big 3D scene with multiple characters also run iTunes and Mozilla and it never skips a beat. Would definitely recommend this laptop to someone that's looking for power!

Pros: Clear video card,pretty fast and did not get hot

Cons: Says it is 1tb, but doesnt state that is 2 hard drives and one isnt installed correctly...major problem with it crashing...have had to reset it to system start 3 times now.
No local repair person to call.

Other Thoughts: I was so excited to be getting this machine, now having to figure out how to send it back is a major pain. If there was somebody I could take it to and not lose the warranty I would be much happier

Pros: Computer is great quality overall

Cons: laptop was ship to me in a cardbox....with no padding at all,ill consider myself lucky that its working .

Sound on this laptop is horrible, speaker a sub par but that's the only negative point of the unit so far.

Other Thoughts: would probably not buy from here again,process was annoying had to confirm my address 2 time online and 2 time on chat and had to call to confirm it again.

Cons: This thing is so heavy and made out of cheap materials. But guess they had to cut costs somewhere
