1 out of 5 eggsSlow Storage/Slow Everything

Pros: This tablet WOULD have worked remarkable well... IF they used better quality memory chips and controllers...

The display is nice...

Cons: They used poor quality memory chips/controller and because of this the whole device suffers. It is SLOW to no end, and hardly works, if it even decides to work.

It takes forever to turn on, turn off, open apps, close apps, switch between apps, wake up, unlock, take pictures, view pictures, play music, EVERYTHING ELSE!

It seriously takes sometimes between 2-5 minutes just for me to wake the thing up, open the browser, google what I need to know, then put it back to sleep.

Not only is it visibly slow, but it benchmarks a sustained Read|Write speed of 20mB/s|5mB/s, $10 USB flash drives are faster than that!

Well, maybe it wouldn't be so bad if it was only 1 unit that had this problem... Well.... Its not, I am on my second one, and let me tell you, this one is WORSE than the first!

(not to mention that ASUS replaced my 2-week old tablet for a USED one, with a relabeled S/N number sticker that didn't even match the one embedded in Android)

Don't try to put any media of your own on it! Because not only will it take DAYS to load up all your music/pictures/etc, but it will also slow the thing down even more. Making it physically impossible to use.

I want nothing more than to have my money refunded, however I am stuck with this piece of garbage that is clearly FAULTY BY DESIGN. I will try my best to get a product that I am satisfied with from ASUS at the expense of my time, like the VivoTab Smart...

Top of the line tablet? Clearly not!

Other Thoughts: "replaced my 2-week old tablet for a USED one, with a relabeled S/N number sticker that didn't even match the one embedded in Android"

5 out of 5 eggsAstonishing

Pros: -Light weight
-Good battery life
-Vibrant, beautiful screen
-Micro-HDMI
-MircoSD
-Powerful CPU
-Great ASUS support
-Keyboard dock-able to be used as a netbook
-Amazing camera (Both front and back)

My first Tablet. What a choice....This thing is beyond superb in every manner. Looks nice, feels nice, performance is great. And it's by far one of the greatest tablets I've ever used.

Micro-HDMI Port. While it doesn't come with the cable, it means you could easily connect this to your HDTV and use it sorta as a Media center if you want. Or simply watch movies or even game on the device through a big screen TV.

Expandable memory with MircoSD. Smart choice to keep this, some tablets seem to miss this. I find this convenient as you could add more storage with MircoSD cards.

For the power it's boasting, this guy is very thin and lightweight. About the same as an actual 300 page notebook almost (In terms of weight). The design seems simply from the front. But the rear shows other wise. This nice metallic style finish gives it a nice touch and beats those glossy finger-printed infested ones. Although, this one does attract finger prints but not as much.

The Terga 3 Chip is a monster. Graphics in games (Supported by Terga 3) looks beyond amazing. Perhaps, near Xbox 360 quality in certain aspects. All games run butter smooth on this and with a 1920 x 1200 HD screen. Everything pops out and it gives a perfect balance of colors and pixels. Also, the view angle is great as you could see the screen clearly even from a 50 degree angle.

Cons: -1GB of RAM shows it's limitations to some extent
-Limited Android flexibility
-A little longer than usual start-up time from power on
-4.0.4 bugs
-Mono speaker

This guy does has it's share of problems. When I got it, It had Android 4.0.4. Not sure if I got a somewhat bugged version but:

Performance got spotty under power saver mode. The Device screen wouldn't turn on when the brightness was lower than around 10 or so. Keyboard lagged the device sometimes.

However, after one update. all of the problems were gone. It's now more rock solid than ever. Wish ASUS did more to the Android O/S. This one comes with a pretty much stock Android Ice cream sandwich. Unlike the Galaxy Tab 10.1 for example, you can't do certain useful features like delete an empty home page (Or I just can't seem to get it to do it or whatever).

The 1GB of RAM. While fast, does show it's limits to some extent. Multitasking can cause the device to slow down a little bit. Unlike the Galaxy Tab 10.1, sometimes it can't seem to properly handle multitasking. But it's not bad enough to knock any Eggs for this.

The speaker has good quality to it and is loud enough to hear it. However, there's only one, and it's placed on the right hand side where you would place your fingers over when holding it. The sound can get a bit muffled because of this. Somewhat of a bad design on ASUS part.

Other Thoughts: One monster android tablet by ASUS. Some minor design flaws and some starter software issues. But no where near is it bad enough to ruin the experience. If ASUS added an extra GB of memory, solved some design issues. And added a more flexible edition of Android. Then it would've been king easily. Either it be gaming, multimedia, social media, music, school work, or all of that and more. The ASUS transformer Pad Infinity is a solid choice.

4 out of 5 eggsOutstanding Device

Pros: Pros:
*Great screen resolution 1080p
*Can read outdoor during bright sunlight thanks to IPS+ mode
*It has its own keyboard dock (sold separately) which can turn the tablet into a laptop and the keyboard also has a built in battery for additional usage of 4+ hours
*Useful bloatwares especially the AppLocker
*Great for gaming
*Pretty good battery length of 8 hours+

Cons: Cons
*Beware of screen flickering due to software issues (unresolved from ASUS)
*Battery quickly drains when playing heavily graphic games and heats up quickly (it's expected)
*Stock and Chrome browsers seems to be sluggish when opening heavily graphic websites like CNET.com. Highly recommended is to use Firefox instead
*Sometimes it is difficult to dock laptop to keyboard

Other Thoughts: Overall, the tablet is wonderful to use and fun, especially having the keyboard as well as it makes even more useful for work and play. Highly recommended to anyone who's looking for entertainment and usability.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome tablet and even better with docking keyboard

Pros: I have owned a Motorola 10.1'' XOOM tablet for more than a year and I use it alot to read, websurf, and watch streams. I decided to upgrade my hardware since I spend so many hours using it, and plus tablets have gotten about a half-pound lighter this year. I decided on this ASUS tranformer infinity over the samsung note because this tablet has 1080p, better hardware overall, and the docking station makes my tablet useful for note-taking and doing actual work (laptop replacement) while also adding several hours of battery power. This tablet does everything I want and the lighter weight of it makes a huge difference while reading on my kindle app before I got to sleep. I will admit 720p vs 1080p isn't very obvious, but this crisp brightness of super IPS mode is pretty awesome in outdoor settings. Built in speakers are actually pretty good.

Cons: The corning gorilla glass screen cracked in my first 3 weeks of ownership and is still covered under refund policy. My XOOM has been dropped more than once over the past 15 months and never broke. This ASUS tablet didnt drop and somehow broke. I think some text books were on top of it while it was folding in its keyboard doc,and may have fractured then.

Other Thoughts: I have ordered a replacement. This tablet is too awesome to not get another. I feel a little bit like Im taking a risk though with the fragile screen, and will look into a protective case, or a replacement plan.

4 out of 5 eggsJust what I'd hoped it would be

Pros: *The screen is very nice and higher resolution than my Thrive.
*Asus did not load too much bloatware, and the stuff they did preload is mostly useful. Some people may not agree, but at least there aren't too many really large preloaded apps.
*I got the 32 GB model, but with the additional MicroSD card slot on board and an additional slot on the optional keyboard there is plenty of memory.
*So far apps have run much more smoothly and much more quickly than my Thrive. I'm sure there will be glitches but none yet.
*Web browsing is also faster and smoother than my Thrive. I've used the default browser and Chrome.
*Both cameras are very nice. I still have to play around more with it to get to know it better.
*GPS locks on really quickly for me.
*Anything I bought previously on the Google Playstore shows purchased and ready for me to download again without buying again. Some people may not know that.

Cons: *I think there are plenty of apps, free or paid, available for Android, but some people may prefer the Apple store for iPad since they have "more" apps. I do think Google Playstore should have a section exclusively for apps enhanced for tablets rather than having us rely on telling each other, or finding out for ourselves. But so far, no problems.
*Sometimes I feel like the tablet can dig into my hand when holding it and can be uncomfortable. But it is much lighter and much less bulky than my previous Thrive or Xoom.

Other Thoughts: I have to say that I am hugely impressed with this tablet and it is a huge upgrade over my Thrive and Xoom.

The design is very nice. I especially like the low profile for the plugs and MicroSD card. The MicroSD card doesn't stick out at all.

Finally, the optional keyboard is a really nice addition. My wife, who is not a tech savant by any stretch of the imagination, loves taking the Infinity and keyboard to softball practices to prepare for work. It really does turn the device into a small laptop. It's very handy, it makes my wife very happy, which in turn makes my life easier.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible

Pros: I bought this tablet as a light internet/entertainment device. Some gaming, some movies, etc...
Thin and solid, this feels like a quality build. Updates to new Android version when powered up and it works great. I'm not getting any browser lag at all. All functions are quite snappy.
The high res display is absolutely beautiful. Better than any tablet I've seen.
Can't say much to battery life yet because I haven't used it for long periods without the keyboard dock which has its own battery. Seems OK though.
Used it for some extended android gaming and after 2 hours of Hellfire, it remained cool.

Cons: Your significant other is going to be jealous and make you buy one for them.

5 out of 5 eggsVersatile tablet

Pros: -Powerful tablet
-High resolution supporting 1080p
-microHDMI output
-Durable glass screen
-Can be used as a netbook / small laptop replacement if you get the keyboard dock for it.

Cons: -The USB adapter that comes with it is a 5V 2.0A / 15V 1.2A, which makes this tablet incompatible with most universal USB chargers, which can only typically source 5v at up to 1.0A. But that may be true for other tablets as well. This is a minor nuisance however.

Other Thoughts: I have an old (but still runs) 15" laptop that I use as my home PC, and my smartphone is a bit too small for reading ebooks and articles, so I wanted a versatile mobile solution that I can use for reading, web browsing, and some document editing as I take it with me wherever I go. As I already have an android-based phone, I am already part of the android eco-system and have made many purchases on Google play. I bought this tablet and the keyboard supplement for it. I am very happy with it so far! I can use this as both a standalone tablet and a netbook. The keyboard dock (purchases separately) even functions as a secondary battery for the tablet.

4 out of 5 eggsalmost phenomenal: ASUSTransformer Pad TF700T

Pros: first off lemme say that this tablet nearly rocks! there are some factors limiting it from receiving a higher rating but i will delve into that later; lemme start off on what it does right.

the touch input on the tablet itself is very spot on in my experience and i feel that this is the best feature! touch input is very important (this being key since it is a tablet computer) and it is responsive. i have played games, and it rocks! no complaint whatsoever in this regard. even while using it without the optional dock the virtual keyboard holds up well but lemme say purchasing the dock is wise choice as it compliments the overall experience but it can and does pretty ok without it.

the cameras rock! especially the rear-facing one as it is 8 MP and can capture (pictures and video) in HD! love it. kudos. haven't used the front facing one yet so i can't comment. the photos came out well but that really depends on your knowledge of operating and your environment (i.e. lighting, knowledge of when and how to use flash, zoom and focus etc.) i am new to photography and only have a basic understanding so i won't take any negative points for not knowing to properly use it. but it is there and there are enough options to take good pictures and where to store your photos and videos.

which brings me to another pro: storage. i opted for the 32 GB model and you have a Mirco SD slot for expanding storage in case the internal storage isn't enough. maybe you need room for all the potential great pictures or HD videos. maybe you won't but it is nice to know that if you do run outta room you can purchase additional space via Micro SD cards ( which i have purchased on this very site i may add, just waiting for it arrive! and class 10 is the way to go...it will transfer your data much quicker; the higher the class, the faster the transfer speeds.)

pre-installed apps. i know that conveys mixed feelings with some out there. for the most part, pre-installed apps are usually a joke and take up space that can be reserved for something better. not quite the case on this tablet. the one that really impressed me was SuperNote.

i haven't used them extensively but the SuperNote app is awesome. it is something akin to microsoft word; it is an application where you can create word type documents and paint type documents. when you first launch it gives step by step instructions on how to use it and it did not disappoint me. it is surprisingly powerful and gives you a bunch of options. kudos again ASUS.

i haven't much yet and i will provide an update when i become more familiar with this device. the stock web browser is ok and does what you expect it should do. there is also a youtube application installed but i haven't used it yet. another office type product there is a Polaris Office app also pre-installed but again i haven't used that. the Play Music app is ok but i purchased PowerAmp via the Google Play store app (also preinstalled, you know since it is an Andr

Cons: Ok, here are somethings to weigh carefully before settling on a purchase: the display, while being full HD 1080p and 1920x1080 the device sort of stutters with one line appearing ever so briefly. this line appears in landscape or portrait mode but the lines appear vertically after the device orients itself. it happened while using third party apps. it happens while i check my facebook; it happens while i play a game called Plague Inc. this is a very sad fact because this is marketed as "premium" android tablet and you think what you pay for the device most, if not all bugs would be take care of but sadly no.

tablets are meant for social apps and games; these are the key selling points. but it happens very briefly and doesn't hinder the experience too much. still, it's sad to see, especially ASUS claiming quality performance and whatnot while you are looking at the product information. and doubly sad as not only does labeling it "premium" means you will pay a whole lot. i got this for $449.00 and expected "premium" meant quality. it does but seeing the aforementioned problems kinda questions that why at all you should run into this.

also the sound is ok but i guess i can't detract too much because c'mon, even television speakers suck still so what hope does a tablet computer stand to break that barrier? speaking of sound the reason i purchased a different app to play my music is so i can adjust the equalizer settings.
so far that is my only gripe and i will update when i have covered this unit in depth.

Other Thoughts: conclusion: all in all this is a great device. nearly phenomenal with a minor set back or two. but believe me, there are minor! you can learn to live with 'em! if you fancy the Android operating system than you really can't get any better in terms of quality! expandable storage and the keyboard dock really help sell this unit to me and in those regards it doesn't disappoint much! it is kinda of disappointing the dock didn't come with bundled with tablet itself (the dock itself cost upwards of 130 bucks) but i am certain once i get accustomed to it i will only love it more. keep in mind certain computers/laptops cost about this much (factoring in the dock also) and they have optical drives and full operating systems.

4 out of 5 eggsAmazing, but defective

Pros: The TF700t has a wonderfully clear screen and nice overall look and feel. It is much more responsive than the 200 series I had last year. Does everything you expect Android to do.

Cons: My unit had a delaminated screen at the top just to the right of the camera. It made a clicking noise whenever you touched the screen in that area. I returned it for a replacement and am waiting on Newegg for the disposition.

Other Thoughts: I hope I get the replacement soon. I'd love to spend more time with the TF700
