Other Thoughts: I bought and subsequently returned the ASUS memo pad tablet because it just didn't work the way it should have. After lots of blogging and internet searching tons of people have had problems with this. There is a youtube video showing how to take it apart and reattach the loose battery. I am not doing that on a brand new machine. I have principles. Other Thoughts: I am writing this review from my brand new Samsung Galaxy Chromebook. It was only $50 more and I love it. Compact, fast and super nice keyboard. I guess me and the tablet were not meant to be. It is quick, bright, a nice size, and everything I was looking for in a tablet in this price range. Cons: After two days of use, the screen flickered and then went dead. It would NOT turn on anymore. I charged it, tried to hard reboot it, and crossed my fingers. Nothing. I ended up getting the 32 GB tablet and am hoping that the major failure was just a fluke. So far, so good. Other Thoughts: Newegg is great at taking care of problems with their products. They allowed me to to RMA the defective product. I wanted a replacement, because I like the product. Anyway, the RMA process on electronics takes at least 7 days once they receive the defective product. During that time, they discontinued this product. No replacement for me. Like I said, I ended up getting the 32 GB version for about the same price. So, it worked out. It was frustrating having to wait for a replacement only to be told that they discontinued it. Also, the refund takes 3-4 days. So, it was a frustrating process. Manufacturer Response: Dear Valued Customer, I apologize for the issues that you’ve had with your first Nexus 7. I’m glad the issue popped up so soon and you were able to get it exchanged for another one. Hopefully, your replacement works well and continues to behave.
