Pros: it has windows 8, its big

Cons: this laptop stopped charging after 1 year of having it and i never brought it anywhere and now its discounted

Pros: Software interface is fine, windows 8 runs well as expected

Cons: The laptop has extremely poor build quality. I've had it for two months and one of the hinges pops when you open the computer. Three screws have already fallen out at random. I've kept the computer in a bag and been very careful with it, but apparently to no avail.

Other Thoughts: Would not recommend. I paid $600 for this machine and I got a computer I would expect to find at wal-mart. I'm also not surprised that it's already discontinued.

Pros: It would appear that there is an underlying issue Buying a laptop Asus from Newegg.

Is everything going to the Duie Pyle ?

Cons: No Support, No Idea if a machne supports more ram ?

Pros: Great laptop. The 17 inch is perfect. The keyboard is wonderful as well. BARELY gets hot underneath while watching a movie.

Cons: Started to act weird.

Other Thoughts: I will never buy a computer/laptop via newegg again. There is no return policy. When I first ordered this, there was a another picture of an ASUS laptop and the memory was 6GB, as soon as my ordered went through, the picture and the GB of memory changed. Had it less than 5 days and started to act weird. If you send it back for an RMA, it will arrive to their deparment a week after shipping and wait a whole other week for the product to be checked for any damages. Wait a whole 2 weeks to even see that the fixed product is being shipped to you. Be aware that this is a windows 8 computer, there will be no windows 8 key code underneath the laptop like others and that the key loads by itself during updates and installation. The windows keycode is inplanted onto the hard drive *ASUS told me this when I called*

Pros: Excellent product for the price. I have been a fan of ASUS for several years. Sturdy build, user friendly layout. Overall a good all around product.

Cons: Lack of documentation and support. There are several different builds under this model number. ASUS website has zero documentation on this product available. To this day I still have no idea how much RAM is supported. Product registration does not work properly either. Lack od documentation that came with the product. Windows 8 is still very buggy and somewhat sluggish.

Other Thoughts: I am happy with this laptop. ASUS quality with a decent price. I'm somewhat disappointed is the availability of support.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat machine, bad experience.

Pros: It came with a lot of good features, being an i5, 4GB of RAM, Windows 8, decent video card & hard drive capacity, all packed into a laptop.

Cons: Couldn't complain, until it shortly died out on me and I had to RMA it. The machine kept flickering the screen, getting a blue screen and turning off. I did a full OEM restore, same issue and then worse, wouldn't even turn on in some cases.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't be able to tell you this machine is going to give you any issues, all machines are built differently. I just think I got stuck with a bad one out of the bunch, things happen. For the price it's seriously a good deal; but don't be surprised if it does give you problems, just a heads up.
