ASUS Google Nexus 7 Tablet 32GB - Brown

Pros: Quad core and 32 gigs runs game well could not put it down felt alot easier to hold then my daughters kindle fire. Lots of widgets and updated to the 4.2.2 as soon as i logged on plays and looks better then my samsung sg3.started erasing all games off of s3. Good battery life. Able to have multiple users so people dont mess up ure game or move ur stuff around.

Cons: It did suck that it has a green line running down the middle right side so newegg gave a rma number. It was still hard to box it up.plus it was for my wife for mothers day (fitst time i got her anything early). Now i really want one too...any sales or discounts soon...dont know if i can stay off of hers.

Other Thoughts: Newegg and asus where very helpful in fixing this issue quickly once i figured out just call them.

Pros: none

Cons: opened turned on line going down screen packed back up tring to get new egg to respond

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 of these for my youngest two sons for Christmas (10 and 12 yrs old). My son that lives with his mom uses it extensively. Youtube, games, school research, reading books; endless. My middle son lives with me and has a computer at hand. He rarely used the Nexus 7. He let it die, and failed to charge it, for days. When I tried to charge it after finding it abandoned the battery symbol appeared, but it never charged. Long story short, I requested an RMA from Asus. The response I received after returning it was it was user damage and I needed to pay $175.00 in repairs for customer damage. I am not pleased. The two Nexus 7's had cases and screen protectors delivered before the tablets even arrived. They were protected within minutes of being opened. I have an Asus Netbook, used several Asus motherboards, and these two tablets. This is the first issue. Never again Asus. Asus is fraudulent when the product they sell doesn't work. I am requesting that they return the product without fixing it. I will take it to a reputable dealer to have it fixed. If it is not the "customer damage" that they reported, I will update here, as well as every social media website that I am associated with and the BBB with the Asus documentation and the repair details. I already know that there was no damage as it was hardly used and in a protective case within the first few minutes of being opened. Asus, you have found a foe, hear me roar.

Pros: - Just awesome... powerful, easy to use... all of the above!

Cons: - The storage is not expandable... this was expected going into this purchase, so that's why I chose to get the 32GB version rather than the 16GB version.

Other Thoughts: This is truly what android tablets should be measured by... I don't have a bad thing to say about it and I just keep discovering new things the more I use it.

The one NEUTRAL thing I could say, which isn't necessarily about this tablet, but the Android Market in general, is that a few apps I was used to using ARE NOT available for the version of android the Nexus 7 runs. Not a HUGE deal... as more android tablets come into market, the more tablet apps will be developed and become available... so it can only get better.

If you are in love with a specific app / apps or perhaps can't live without a specific app / apps... it might be worth looking to see if it's available for the Nexus 7. As of lately, the Tivo tablet app was FINALLY released... but something like Square is still NOT available yet... bummer.

Pros: size, transportability

Cons: poor unreliable hardware. screen quality and battery life aren't great.

Other Thoughts: This is the second dead nexus 7 I've had in 2 months. The first one was dead on arrival. Newegg exchanged it for another which just died. I have a Nexus 10 which has been solid. This Nexus 7 is a hunk of junk. I will be returning it and not getting another.

Pros: -Very fast OS (Android 4.2 Jelly Bean)

Pros: Did everything it promised, and more. Web browsing and email is a dream come true.

Watching videos on YouTube or NetFlix; it's like having a pocket TV. Video performance is awesome, I run my own personal 1080p Quicktime movies on this tablet without so much as a hiccup.

Uploading content to the tablet could not be easier. My computer sees it as a mass storage device, with folders clearly labeled "pictures", etc. So simple, no interface, no digital rights management. Played my MP3s & MP4s with no issues.

Learn to use "Swype" for typing, it can be amazing sometimes. It's fast, but also fun (to "draw" your words does interesting things to your brain)

Plus, there's 2 apps that allow me to connect to my HD-SLR cameras and use the Nexus as camera monitor. This is one thing that the iPad, at this writing, cannot do. This made the tablet a no-brainer purchase for me, as I'm a professional camera operator.

Battery life is solid; single charge lasts me 2-3 days with normal usage. No issues with running hot.

Only once in 3 months has it done anything unexpected (it rebooted by itself one day, but it was fine afterwards.. software update?)

Cons: Doesn't do HDMI out; if you wanted to port your video out to a large screen TV.

That's it. I can't think of anything else.

Other Thoughts: I would buy this product again and again. It's not a stretch to say it's changed my digital paradigm.

Pros: Tegra 3 yes please. I have been and will continue to be impressed by this wonderfully designed tablet. Android runs supremely well on this machine, and it being Google branded means that it works will all the apps in the app store. Battery life is excellent, even under heavy use, but batteries are going to run out guys/gals. Screen resolution is very nice, and My wife who is an Apple lover is secretly jealous of my Nexus.

Cons: The plastic trim around the edge leaves one a little wanting. It would be better had it been better material, leaves me a little worried about the durability of that trim. I wish it had a camera on the backside too, then my life would be complete.

Other Thoughts: Very fast, very good at multitasking. Handles games like a champ and a full suite of apps for cheap and a lot for free. Thanks Asus and Google for this wonderful device, it has definitely enriched my life.

- Fast
- Screen is sharp and vibrant

Cons: - No native SD Card Expansion
- Screen breaks easily and repairs cost the same as a new device

Other Thoughts: I've had to replace two of these when the screen broke on me after I put them in my pocket. The slightest pressure on the corners will cause the screen to shatter. When I went to have the screen repaired, pretty much anywhere you go will tell you that the repairs cost the same as a new tablet.

Pros: very capable tablet

Cons: uhmm a bit laggier than i suspected even with updated firmware and modded still slow for my expectation.
