5 out of 5 eggsNice tablet

Pros: Very nice size, feel, weight. Video plays perfectly. HDMI output to 50inch TV looks fantastic. Does everything I could ask for from a tablet. Web surfing, games, videos, etc.

Cons: Volume could be a bit louder both internal speaker and headphones. I got this most for watching movies on airplanes. Noise canceling head phones help a lot.

Other Thoughts: I got this to replace the Viewsonic gTablet that went out of support a couple months after I bought it. This one upgraded to Android 4.2.2 in the first week I had it.
I have since added the docking station and it is hard to believe but it is even easier to use. The docking station allows me to use a real mouse or trackball if you prefer that to the touch pad or touching the screen.

5 out of 5 eggsAsus Tablet rocks.

Pros: Great Tablet for the price. Newegg had a special deal including the Transformer Keyboard for $349. I love it. Plenty quick and great color. Using it with and without the keyboard is great. There is plenty of apps that work on this as well if not better then most smart phones. Battery last for upward of 8 hours using constantly. Longer if attached to the Transformer keyboard upwards of 12 hours. Asus has some really nice apps and features.

Cons: None thus far.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very fast and worked well when It was running

Cons: After a month of using it I went to grab it to use it, and when I turned the screen on, the LCD display was ruined and you could see a small crack running down the middle of the glass even though nothing got put on it and it was never dropped. So Asus says that it is accidental even though nothing was done to cause this. I also noticed other people online having the same issue. Long story short, if I want to use it again I have to pay an arm and a leg to get something fixed that shouldn't of broke.

Other Thoughts: I always buy Asus products but after this experience I am thinking of switching to Acer or Apple.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

I am sorry to hear that your experience has not been a positive one and that your ASUS tablet screen is cracked. Whenever a purchase like this is made, everyone expects to have the device in working condition for years to come. As you know, this of course is the not case with your broken ASUS TF300T. Although the estimated cost might be expensive, keep in mind that you still have an option to have us repair the tablet.

Please let me know if you would like to get the tablet repaired by emailing me at cl-mark@asus.com; and I will be happy to assist you further.

Regards,
Mark

4 out of 5 eggsTF 300T champagne

Pros: Price. got it for 355.00 with keyboard. awesome battery life, ability to set up speed by maneuvering the settings. very portable very light. running 4.2 jelly bean without no problems and also an update to settle the problem with sensitive touch pad.

Cons: the only thing that I deducted an egg for was the videos on some websites. wasn't able to open them.

5 out of 5 eggsExcelent Tablet

Pros: Awesome device, i'm a proud owner of the champagne gold version and it looks nice and shiny and not gold, got the dock and it feels feels solid at least like it wont break unless i apply a generous amount of force, and i could. Liked it since day one, screen looke awesome and quick to the touch, not like the ipad but the IPS hits the spot nicely, really a par with said. Interface is easy, easy apps access, overall nice product. Could lag at times if too much of RAM is comsumed but the expansion ports, which are a plus, are made to prevent over stocking the device.

Cons: Could be faster but so far no complaints

1 out of 5 eggsIt broke

Pros: Well, it was great.

Cons: After a month, exactly 30 days, the screen began to register touches that i did not make. It gets stuck in a loop and becomes useless. A hard reset starts the slow creep of this all over again each time. It starts with a couple glitches. Then, over the course of a few days, just goes nuts and gets epileptic with opening of whatever app is near that touch register. Then, you erase everything, and start the creep all over. It is frustrating. I really wanted to love this thing.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

I apologize for the issues that you are having with the touch screen. If a factory reset doesn’t seem to fix the phantom touch issue, then there might be something wrong with the actual digitizer. You do have a warranty on the tablet, and if anything, we can troubleshoot and fix it for you. If you haven’t already, please e-mail me at cl-tien@asus.com and I can help you through the whole RMA process. It’s a lot better than having an unusable tablet sitting around.

Best Regards,

1 out of 5 eggsDeceiving product information

Pros: Looks nice and like the silver color. Clear instructions and easy to charge.

Cons: I received my Asus Transformer Pad today and was disappointed to find that what I thought I ordered was not included in the package. I reviewed the product information and because the external keyboard was listed BETWEEN all product information included in the package, I naturally thought that it was to be included. That was the selling point for me and the reason I had gone with a higher price on the pad. I would have gone with the one listed at the outlet store if I had known that the keyboard was not going to be included. You people need to list the OPTIONAL equipment somewhere other than mixed in with the product information that actually included.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

I apologize for the confusion with the product information. The dock is almost always sold as a separate accessory. The model number for the bundled package is actually completely different from the TF300-B1-BL that you usually see. I hope that you were able to easily exchange or return the device. All of our docks are sold separately and have their own product page if you are ever interested. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me at cl-tien@asus.com.

Best Regards,

2 out of 5 eggsFirmware update causes issues, ASUS warranty servicing solved none of the problems.

Pros: The tablet and keyboard combination functioned beautifully when I first bought it. Very little issues, until I updated the firmware.

Cons: After running a firmware update I began to experience problems. Specifically, the dock would no longer accept keyboard input. The touchpad and mouse button were still working, so it was not an issue with hardware or the connection. The tablet registered that the dock was attached. The keyboard also began to default to an asian character set. Consulting the internet for support they recommended wiping the system. After 5-10 factory resets with no results I sent it in for service under the warranty. After paying the costs for shipping and the required packaging the unit was returned to me in exactly the same condition I sent it in. Nothing had been fixed at all.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

I apologize for the issues that you were having and for the bad experience with your RMA. If you could contact me with your RMA number, I’ll be more than happy to take a look into this for you. Perhaps I could see exactly what they did or didn’t do while it was at the facility. Maybe I could clear this up as to why there are still issues and we can finally get it fixed for you. I can be reached at cl-tien@asus.com. I’ll be happy to help.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Excellent value with free keyboard. Great screen.

Cons: Not super fast. I have a nexus 7 as well, same manufacturer and processor, but the nexus 7 definitely feels faster. But at this price, its more than you could ask for.

Other Thoughts: Feels huge after using a 7 inch tablet.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat.. Well used to be!

Pros: Great tablet (well used to be) at a good price.

Cons: I've had this tablet for about 2 months. Loved it. Flawless. Until Jelly Bean 4.2! That's when everything went down hill. Games used to be smooth. Now, they get choppy. Movies used to play smooth. Now they hiccup. This tablet used to run flawless until the upgrade. Now, no matter what browser I use, it takes about 1 minute for the page to show up, even the plain Google search page. And now, it reboots at random. Two months of great usage and since the "upgrade" to Jelly Bean 4.2 last week, it's rebooted itself about 20 times. I've contacted Asus and the just said to RMA the tablet, there is no way to go back to Jelly Bean 4.1 or Ice Cream Sandwich. That means I lose everything I have on my tablet and will probably get a used refurbished piece of junk.

Other Thoughts: DO NOT UPGRADE TO JELLYBEAN 4.2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

I apologize for the issues that you are having with the tablet. The update to the newer version of the firmware should improve user experience and make things a lot smoother. After every major update, it is recommended that you WIPE your tablet to give it a new, fresh start with the new firmware. I would back-up all your data and perform a reset to see if it helps. Definitely try that before sending it in for repairs. If you send it in, your tablet will be wiped anyways when they repair it, so you might as well give it a shot now. If it does come down to sending it in, don’t worry, we will fix your device and replace any parts if needed; we will not issue you a refurbished device. If you have any questions, or if you would like further assistance, please e-mail me at cl-tien@asus.com. I’ll be happy to help.
