ASUS Zenbook UX32A-DB31 13.3" Ultrabook

Pros: * Light: 3.2lbs. I love this.
* Speedy: 1.4Ghz dual core, I'd love an Ivy Bridge with turbo-clock but this is fast enough.
* Small: similar footprint to my old Dell Latitude E6400)
* Battery life: 5-6 hours of actual usage
* Internal SSD: 32GB for "free"? Why not!
* Price (Sale): $300
* Durable: It travels well in my backpack with many books and other heavy objects. No injuries!

Cons: * Keyboard: Wireless key is slightly cooked.
* Screen: Color and resolution are abysmal.
* Cold: It gets cold to the touch during winter.
* Fan: There is a BIOS glitch that causes the fan to be more active than it should be. It's less noticeable but still present.

Other Thoughts: I use it as a companion to my gigantic desktop. It sees me more often than I expected due to its portability and size. I take it with me everywhere. When I travel, my Nexus 7 stays on the couch but this goes with me.

I installed a Samsung 840 SSD as I received a $100 gift card along with this notebook. The process was relatively painless and didn't take too long even though it's such a small notebook.

If you're looking for a nice travel notebook this notebook is a fine device.

Pros: was fast delivery time.

Cons: DOA, rebooting every 10mins
