Pros: This lightweight computer makes it easy for any college student to use. The touchscreen works perfectly. Setup was a breeze with Windows 8 and ASUS software. The computer boots up faster than other laptops I have had in the past. It runs quieter than my older computers. It also runs cooler. The battery life is normal for a computer also.
Cons: The keyboard had a fault. When using the space bar, an excessive amount of force was needed to be applied for the computer to recognize it. When writing a paper for college, you don't want to have to slam on the space bar all the time when writing a 5 page essay. It does get annoying. The charger could've been designed a little better, it takes up 3 slots on my surge protector if it is in the middle.
Other Thoughts: When I contacted ASUS about the keyboard problem, the customer service was exceptional. The guy suggested I RMA the laptop to get the keyboard replaced. ASUS sent me a tracking label to be shipped to their factory in California. After a week of shipping, it arrived at the factory and was fixed that day. The day after the laptop arrived at the factory it was shipped back to me. Being a student with no laptop is a pretty hard when writing papers. ASUS had paid for all the shipping and repair was free of charge.
