Good machine, a bit over the top
Pros: Powerful machine, runs many games at or near max settings without a hitch (not, like, Crysis 3, but plenty of others). Got a very decent price on it, for some reason it was even cheaper than the non-car based gaming laptop which it was based off of. Not cheap by any means, but not crazy expensive. Comes with a nice 5 button wireless mouse included, as well as a swanky carrying case. Like all asus laptops, it has amazing heat management due to the rear facing heat ports, so despite the high power it won't melt your legs off, or cook itself to death. It is also very shiny, and pretty, the case has the Lamborghini logo on it a few places, the power button etc, track pad, and system lights are reminiscent of a sports car dashboard, it even has little tail lights on the back, overall it's aesthetically pleasing. Lastly it comes with Windows 7 Ultimate, so no having to put up with "panes" on a non-touch screen.
Cons: Some of the "it's a car" features make it slightly embarrassing to take out into public, especially the fact that when you hit the power button to turn it on, it makes a little "engine revving" sound. That was kind of cute the first few times, but not so awesome when I took it to the library. I'm not having any luck finding a way to disable that. the shiny paint on the case seems to get damaged and scratched off easily, based on the fact that I now have a pretty ugly scratch on one edge without having any obvious thing happen to have caused it. The plastic underneath appears to be white, which makes these scratches stand out in a rather ugly way. It is, of course, heavy as hell so if you are going to carry your laptop everywhere, keep that in mind. And lastly, while the battery is decent, it only keeps it running at reasonable settings for a bit over an hour, less if you have it on "gaming mode", so you are going to want to have a power outlet handy wherever you use it.
Other Thoughts: If, when I had made my purchase, the non-car-branded gaming laptop that this one is based on had been cheaper, I probably would have been quite happy with it. As it is, I'm 95% pleased with it, and the other 5% represents the times when I need to take it to the library (which is often, as I am in graduate school). If you freaking love Lamborghini cars and need a beastly laptop, then you can't go wrong, otherwise you may want to find one that doesn't go "vroom VROOOM!" every time you turn it on.
