4 out of 5 eggsNot bad for the price...

This review is from: ASUS MeMO Pad HD7 Tablet - Quad-Core 1GB DDR3 RAM 16GB Flash 7" IPS 1280x800 WiFi, GPS - Pink Color (ME173X-A1-PK)

Pros: I'd say this tablet is far by the best you can get for it's price. At least for what I bought...I got a 100 dollar refurbished white one, but it is very similar to the pink in terms of build quality (same glossy exterior).

Comes with decent performance built-in. Don't get overly impressed by the "Quad-core" statement. Doesn't mean the tablet will perform just as well as something like an HTC One M8 with it's Snapdragon. It's a bit sluggish in some games such as Despicable Me but runs Asphalt 8 beautifully. Not the best performance, but for the price, not bad at all. Definitely a good price/performance ratio.

Cameras are not bad either. 1080p recording for the rear shooter and its a bit grainy but you can get rid of the grain by dimming the light settings (or whatever that's called).

The screen is pretty good. For me at least. Over 200 PPI and it looks really good for the most part. It's not impressive, but for 7 inch tablets, going beyond its resolution hits the 200 dollar mark. The color is vibrant as well.

Sound quality is pretty darn good as well. Gets loud and gives enough clarity to impress.

You can also fit a micro-sd card up to 32 GB. Still figuring out how to actually use it though...

Cons: Pretty bad exterior material. The glossy back plastic scratches like hell and if put under light, you can see the billions of scratches. A case is a must for this tablet. But the glossy plastic is a bit expected for the price. The matte finish is probs better on the blue and black versions, but I can't guarantee.

Front is a hell-bringing finger magnet. It gets dirty very fast. Screen protector is also a must.

Coming back to performance, the tablet lags a lot sometimes. Games can freeze time to time, but the performance is mixed. Sometimes, it's fluid, sometimes it's not. Can't tell.

Can't upgrade. Ever. Asus releases new memo pads with a different android os every time. It's annoying because the furthest this goes is Android 4.2.2.

Other Thoughts: I think that in the end this is a very good tablet for its price. Considering its performance and build quality its a bit hard to bump it to a 5, considering people can pay a bit more to get better, such as the later memo pads (ME176x).
Get the ME176x if you can afford it, but if not, for the price, this tablet essentially destroys any other tablet around 100. I said essentially. XD

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome for the price

This review is from: ASUS MeMO Pad HD7 Tablet - Quad-Core 1GB DDR3 RAM 16GB Flash 7" IPS 1280x800 WiFi, GPS - Pink Color (ME173X-A1-PK)

Pros: Cheap as hell! Seriously you can compare this to one of those 400$ tablets EASILY
The brightness of the screen is great.
I run the Twitch.tv app and stream video all evening long in my bed while slowly going to sleep.
I've uninstalled almost every app from my cellphone and i run them on this tablet instead.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I've recommended this tablet to at least 3 other poeple and they have all bought them!

If this one break for whatever reason (or im just carelee), i am buying another one in a heartbeat.

1 out of 5 eggsnon-working after 6 weeks

This review is from: ASUS MeMO Pad HD7 Tablet - Quad-Core 1GB DDR3 RAM 16GB Flash 7" IPS 1280x800 WiFi, GPS - Pink Color (ME173X-A1-PK)

Pros: Quad core, nice display, charges quickly

Cons: Touchscreen doesn't work after 6 weeks- researched and found it's a frequent fault of this tablet. Would not buy again.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper tablette

This review is from: ASUS MeMO Pad HD7 Tablet - Quad-Core 1GB DDR3 RAM 16GB Flash 7" IPS 1280x800 WiFi, GPS - Pink Color (ME173X-A1-PK)

4 out of 5 eggsQuick, sharp and beautiful

This review is from: ASUS MeMO Pad HD7 Tablet - Quad-Core 1GB DDR3 RAM 16GB Flash 7" IPS 1280x800 WiFi, GPS - Pink Color (ME173X-A1-PK)

Pros: Small with nice assortment of colors to choose from. It runs most anything Google Play has to throw so far. I own an older 10" ASUS Transformer 300 with Jellybean 4.2.2 on it as well and this seems to have a slightly different UI, which I like better. This was a good gift for our 12 year old. Runs youtube without a problem and took a 32gb micro SD easily.

Cons: It's a bit thick. One of our daughters has a 2 year old 7 inch Galaxy Tab 2 and this is a little thicker than that. Not much, but a little. It's still small enough and because it does everything you want... the thickness isn't a huge deal. The built in sound is a bit lacking but so are most tablets of this size. Get some Bluetooth stereo headphones and it kicks.

Other Thoughts: For the $129 price we paid at the time... you can't go wrong. Why would you consider anything else? I'd have given it 5 stars if the sound were spread out on both sides in stereo and it were a slightly more light weight and thin. My kids usually use it on widescreen... it'd be nice if someone designed dual sided stereo speakers... not many manufacturers do. Headphones fix that tho.

Pros: great tablet for the price .bought for my niece

Cons: turns on but touching screen does nothing now.bought on 2/14/14 its now 4/23/14

5 out of 5 eggsASUS Memo Pad 7 is a great little tablet

This review is from: ASUS MeMO Pad HD7 Tablet - Quad-Core 1GB DDR3 RAM 16GB Flash 7" IPS 1280x800 WiFi, GPS - Pink Color (ME173X-A1-PK)

Pros: ASUS Memo Pad HD 7-Inch 16 GB Green Tablet is a great tablet for the money. This tablet has a beautiful display (7 inches) and displays images at 1280 x 800 pixels (800p). The Tablet has 170-degree wide viewing angles. Text looks sharper, colors are more vivid, and games stand out. MeMO Pa HD 7 has a 5 MP(MegaPixel) autofocus rear camera with 100 picture continuous burst shooting and 1080P video recording. This Tablet also has a 1.2 MP front camera. Two of the programs that I liked that comes with this tablet are MyPainter and ASUS Studio. MyPainter allows you to demonstrate your artistic skills, while ASUS Studio lets you Manage your photos.

I have listed some more specifications that I considered important for this tablet. They are as follows:

* Operating System - Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
* Display - 7-Inch Display
* Processor - Quad Core 1.2 GHz
* Memory - 16 GB Flash Memory, 1 GB RAM Memory
* Number of USB 2.0 Ports - 1
* Battery life 10-hour
* Weight - 10.7 ounces
* Item Dimensions - 7.7 x 4.7 x 0.4 inches
* Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n)

Thank you for reading my review, if you have any questions feel free to email me, I would be happy to help you with any questions you have.

Cons: Nothing

5 out of 5 eggsMagenta Asus MeMo

This review is from: ASUS MeMO Pad HD7 Tablet - Quad-Core 1GB DDR3 RAM 16GB Flash 7" IPS 1280x800 WiFi, GPS - Pink Color (ME173X-A1-PK)

Pros: Received tablet in 1 business day with free shipping. Impressive. Functions well despite mediocre tech website reviews. For this price range, both front and rear facing cameras and micro-SD slot are big pluses over the Google Nexus. When buying for girls, the broader color selection is very important. There's even a matching carrying case which looks like a little clutch purse. Sure to make a little girl happy.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Unlocking the screen is a bit quirky, but that is why owner's manuals were invented.
