1 out of 5 eggsFew Years

Pros: None....I bought this when it was 300 bucks, but I see it went to almost 500. But, as always, newegg is awesome! It's durable as well.

Cons: Well, having Windows RT is probably the most limiting thing you can ask for in an OS. Looking onto the specs, it looks like it should run fairly well, but it doesn't. Everything takes a long time to register. From touch screen to even the keyboard inputs. Using even MS word, it lags on every input from the keyboard. It lags so much that it skips some keys you have pressed. It becomes very annoying and not very useful. Additionally, you are very limited to what you can put on this tablet. VERY LIMITED. The price is great, but I would suggest something else. The OS isn't very good, the input isn't very good....which makes the entire thing not very good. If you can't simply type a paper in MS word, what do you expect? As I once said, I bought this for 319.99. I do not see why this price tag went up almost 200 dollars on newegg.

Other Thoughts: If anyone wants to buy mine at the price I paid, by all means, contact me. 500 is not worth the price for this tablet. The 319.99 I paid is probably worth considering. But honestly, I would pay 150 for this type of tablet. I would probably sell mine at 250. Maybe someone knows more than I do for OS or tablets, but I've done much research on this tablet. Good luck trying a different OS.

4 out of 5 eggsShe loves ot.

Pros: Convenient. Purchased for my wife as an anniversary gift and she loves it. Its easy to use and gives her the convenience pf a keyboard when she needs it...she has nicknamed it her 'lablet.'

Cons: She misses some of the apps from her Android tablet, but we have found easy fixes.

3 out of 5 eggsWorth it

Pros: Beautiful, fast, keyboard dock or screen keyboard, size, not cheap plastic, two-way cam, plenty of space, sensitive touch, gps, wifi. I love it. To me, its worth the money. The keyboard dock is great. Protects my screen.

Cons: Yes, the 8.1 update was a timely task. Yes, the flash for the camera does not work. (I have a camera and another on my phone... who cares) I'm used to Android. Getting used to a different set-up sucks, but I'll get over it.)

Other Thoughts: Over all, it's well worth the money. The Office software os worth $300 on it's own.

3 out of 5 eggsLike it so far

Pros: As before.

Cons: No flash for camera after upgrade to Windows 8.1 RT.

Other Thoughts: I need to add toad this to my previous review. I found out that once you upgrade to Windows 8.1 RT, you loose your flash on the rear camera. I understand Microsoft forgot to allow for the flash on the Asus units in the update, because the Surface tablet ( which is now the only tablet being manufactured with Windows RT) does have a flash for the camera. Asus says that Microsoft needs to come up with an update to fix this, but Microsoft says that Asus needs to fix this because only their tablets have flashes. So who knows if it will ever be fixed.

4 out of 5 eggsLike it so far

Pros: Price, comes with keyboard, rear camera has flash and is 8 mp, compact but not so small you can't read the screen, long battery life, wifi works well, blue tooth, GPS.

Cons: Have heard Asus support and repair are bad. I am hoping I don't need to find out for myself. This is why I didn't give it 5 eggs.

Other Thoughts: I chose this tablet because I wanted a tablet that took good pictures ( 8mp, self focus, flash) that I could just email to family right away rather than having to download from a camera to a computer. You must download all windows 8 updates that are available, before Microsoft will allow you to upgrade to RT 8.1. The upgrades for windows 8 took about 2 hours to download and install. Afterward the upgrade to RT 8.1 took another 4 1/2 hours to download and install. So make sure you have a full charge on the batteries and have the keyboard attached so you have the extra battery in it available, also. Make sure you have PLENTY of time available as you will want to do the entire update at one time to avoid problems. So far, Windows 8 doesn't seem to be as much of a nightmare as many are saying. I am figuring it out and if I can, anyone can. There is plenty of advice on line for using Windows RT 8.1.

4 out of 5 eggsNot a Bad Deal

Pros: The Nvidia Tegra 3 processor is very fast and the keyboard is very sturdy. It comes with Office 2013 which is nice too.

Cons: Keyboard is not backlit. Initially when it came with Windows RT all the updates left me with around 10 GB of hard drive space remaining. Once I took the free upgrade to Windows 8.1 RT it freed up an additional 9GB of hard drive space and allowed for the installation of many other apps which wasn't available with Windows RT.

Other Thoughts: Must upgrade to Windows 8.1 RT to truly unlock this Tablet's potential.

4 out of 5 eggsLove this little guy!

Pros: Many features including GPS (Microsoft Surface 2 doesn't have GPS. Very responsive. Asphalt 7 stuttered for a minute then smoothed out very nicely. Use Task Manager to free up memory for better performance. The keyboard dock is very nice. RT includes Microsoft Office.

Cons: There's a lot of updating to get done and it takes hours and hours. But it finished fine and made some good improvements to touch functions in RT. Updates include a firmware update, Windows RT 8.1 and Microsoft Office.

Other Thoughts: Here's the bad news. I liked mine so much that I got another for my daughter for Christmas. While I was installing updates the device went into a never ending loop trying to update the firmware. There was nothing I could do to stop it (F8 didn't stop this). There is no other way to update the firmware other than going through Windows Update. You can't do a USB update with RT apparently. This situation required me to RMA for a replacement.
