5 out of 5 eggsLove it.

Pros: I'v been looking for a good Android tablet since my Xoom died with out notice. I always hated a 10" tablet from day one, but I still used and loved my xoom. The Nexus 7 2013 has a quad core Krate CPU and an Adreno 320. Just two generations from my HTC One M8. Made this the perfect choice IPS display with a 1980x1200 display with Gorilla Glass, NFC, Chrome Cast, and all the other high end specs, including USB To Go, AND the ability to send undedoced 5.1 audio to a receiver. - one of maybe 3 or 4 handsets that have that, and no other tablet.

Cons: So fare I have had no cons. When I opened the box is was running 4.4, now it runs 5.1 one of 2 or so other devices. 5.1.1 or 5.1.2 which ever they choose is next. No cons that I can tell. Hell even the OEM Asus Premium cover still lets the device to wireless charge. I mean seriously awesome..

Other Thoughts: Would I buy again? in a heart beat. 32GB ROM, 2GB Ram, 1.5Ghz Quad Core CPU, Adreno 320 GPU... NFC, Chrome Cast, Wifi Direct... Such an upgrade from the 2012 version. Still the best 7" tablet money can buy, best $200 I've ever spent. well + $100 on accessories

5 out of 5 eggsNice little tablet, good price

Pros: The Nexus 7 is small and light--just what I wanted to do surveys out in the field this summer.
Awesome battery life!
The camera is decent as long as you don't want good macro shots or anything fancy.
The sound quality, speed, WiFi connectivity, and all that have been fine for my modest needs.
Also I love having uncluttered Android.

Cons: None come to mind; this was a great deal.

5 out of 5 eggsNEXUS 7 refurb

Pros: Great tablet. Does everything the specs claim. The refurb is a 2013, second gen model. It is slightly narrower and slightly taller than the 2012 model which I also own.
Comes with charger and USB cable.

Cons: Charging from the CPU with a USB cable is considerably slower than wall charging. The biggest complaint that I have with both models is that when turning it on, at times it will come come on in about 10 seconds and other times it takes over 30 seconds regardless of the amount of charge that the battery shows.

Other Thoughts: For the price it is a great tablet and Newegg's service is outstanding. Bought both units a year apart and received them within 7 days.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat tablet

Pros: * good price for refurb
* 32 GB of flash - seems like a lot
* Android store has really expanded
* speed of tablet seems great, use is very "fluid"
* quick WiFi connection, dual band
* BT works well with external keyboard
* feels nice in the hand
* fantastic 1920x1200 IPS screen: great res, colors, and viewing angle
* GPS seems more sensitive than 1st gen
* Sound from built in speakers is quite good - better than expected.
* Immediately updated to 4.4.2
* This is one of Google's Android reference platforms, so you can count on update support for a long time

Cons: * doesn't fit 1st gen cases. Why do they make arbitrary changes like this?
* wish it had SD slot, but few of these tablets do

Other Thoughts: This replaces the first version of the Nexus 7 which I have used for over a year. The screen is gorgeous. Overall size and weight are nice. GUI feels instantaneous and very fluid, it's a joy to use. Topo maps, Google maps, and aviation charts are easy on the eyes at 1920x1200. Breezes through all the apps I have tried. Watching a 1080p YouTube music video (KEXP London Grammar) shows just how good the screen is. Got the Devicewear Ridge case, which works and fits well. Wolfram Alpha graphics look super on this. I was scared off by high instance of failures when this V2 tablet was first released, hopefully they are long fixed by now. So far so good on this one. Plan to take on several trips and use topo maps and GPS.
