4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Tablet and keyboard comb. Nice! Got this for dauther in college and for her work .It is small but that is what she wanted so in our case it is a pro

Cons: The shipping was fast until i got to my house it was fedex ground and the shipper required a signiture so after 2 attempts to deliver (i was at work)and a note for them to call me after first attempt, to get the unit of the ground truck. Because i work 15 block from my house (I and like most people i work during the day also the closest pickup store is 20 mile from me). finally had to pick up delivery my self at a warehouse pickup site to get it asap. So if u order know that u might need to make other arrangment to get package because they wouldnt call or leave package with out Signing for it yourself. Also it would be nice it unit came will hdmi micro adapter. I am going to get on newegg for .99 but just a note they arent that expensive . U would think that would be nice thing to have but at least it not expensive it just a small hassel.

Other Thoughts: Bonus!!!! found out today that my T100Ta i bought (New ) comes with Factory ASUS Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) so dont need the adp from newegg.FYI for any one looking at this tablet .I called asus to comfirm this . It is for one year from date of purchase and is a one time use in addition to the harware 1 year factory warrenty.U just need to register it it with myasus.com within 60 day of your purchase.(which i did) ;)

1 out of 5 eggsDont buy it

Pros: none

Cons: After 4 months it just quit working and then Newegg tells me I cant return if. Should have known better than buy an ASUS product again, nothing but problems.

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your time, its not a good product. Its slower than 2 old people walking.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfectly happy

Pros: All I wanted was a light weight fully functional computer and this was perfect for the price. Easy upgrade to windows 10. It has a long battery life. Love the touch screen. I'm a college professor so I mostly use this computer for lightweight use while I'm between my office or home where I use desktops. I'm getting another one for my 14 YO for Christmas.

Cons: This is nit picky. For the price, I consider this like a Smartcar. It's not for cross country trips or towing heavy loads. Small HD, speakers not very good and it has a small screen. If you have meaty hands, the small touch screen can be tricky. But you knew that already.

Other Thoughts: I think this is a nice computer for the price. I held off on reviewing it until I had for a few months and I really like it. I use it every weekday and it hasn't messed up once. If you use cloud storage this would be a great machine for a budget conscious college kid.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat For the Price

Pros: This tablet computer is awesome. The battery is good, only charged it to 15% to try it when I received it and it lasted me over an hour. It runs 8.1 well though I may upgrade to 10 soon. I will be using it for school so in between classes I wanted to play some games on it. Games like Minecraft, Terraria, and Binding of Isaac run extremely well with frame rates from 45-60. Runescape also runs well and works in tablet mode without the keyboard which is pretty cool. Just a little nostalgia with that one. Overall great little tablet.

Cons: The biggest cons is size. It can't really be helped with the nature of the product however, so it hardly be considered a con. Using as a laptop is a little awkward if your laying down and actually using it a as a laptop. If using a mouse, it's slightly difficult finding a place to put a mouse pad comfortably unlike with a full laptop where I just place it over the number pad. But again, it's a tablet/notebook. It should go without saying that it's going to be on the small size.

Other Thoughts: Overall, it's a wonderful tablet. I received it for $189.99 as an open box, as is sale from Newegg. I was worried that parts would be missing (such as the charger or manuals) or it would appear used heavily as other open box deals appear; however this tablet seemed brand new. No scratches. Fresh install of 8.1. All accessories and documents included. It was a fantastic deal. For school or little time killing indie games, it's perfect.

2 out of 5 eggsHate it

Pros: Very light and portable.

Cons: Hate the layout of it/how it works. My biggest issue is with pressing backspace, which more often than not takes you back to the previous page you were on when on the internet. I cannot tell you how many homework assignments I've had to rewrite because of this. Also seems to freeze up/jump to random pages sometimes. If I had money for a new laptop I would smash this one. Never buying an Asus again. **Also note, it hurts your wrist to sit on it for a long time. Would not recommend as a laptop for homework.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Windows Tablet/Netbook for $200

Pros: Easily upgraded to Windows 10. Works well as a tablet as well as a netbook. Video playback on Netflix and Prime is pretty good....not as good as on higher priced, more up to date units. I find the Windows performance pretty much the same as my Lenovo laptop with aniCore 5 processor. I like that it can be hooked up to a computer, has a slot for a memory card (up to 64 mb). Speakers are pretty good with excellent volume. Sound quality with a decent set of ear buds is excellent. It runs Photoshop Elements fairly well! Hard to beat if you want a Windows based tablet!!!

Cons: Docking connection can be sensative if you lift the unit by the screen.
Screen brightness isn't good for outdoors in bright light.
The MS Office trial on my unit was only for 1 month, which is pretty much useless. Shiny plastic case shows finger smudges.
Small keyboard could be a problem for some users. Minimal front facing camera for video calls and no rear camera (if that is important to you).

Other Thoughts: I must be lucky and got a good one! I don't have any problems with the touch pad, although I use a cordless mouse whenever possible and have ordered a cordless track ball mouse for use with it. You need the 64 gb of internal memory. After installing a few apps, MS Office 2013 and Photoshop Elements 13, there was only about 23 gb of memory left. I installed a 64 gb micro sd card for storage of photos and music files.

For the current price, which is about half of what they sold for a couple of years ago, it's a pretty good bargain. I did see that a major warehouse chain is selling the newer 32 gb version with the dock that has 500 gb of storage for only $50 more. If it were a 64 gb version, I may have returned the T100 and paid the difference.

If you buy one, based upon the number of negative reviews, make sure you buy it from Newegg or from a reputable company that won't hassle you if you need to return a defective unit, and go with a new one with a one year warranty as opposed to a refurbished unit with only a 90 day warranty (in my humble opinion).
