Pros: Light, fast, does what I need. Long battery life, very useful with its power cord issues(see cons)

Cons: In the quest to make it thinner, it has smaller SD, HDMI, and power jacks. The SD and HDMI are minor inconveniences, but the smaller, almost USB like power jack is a weak spot. The tip of the power cord is easily susceptible to bending if the computer is anywhere but stationary on a flat surface while plugged in. After 4 months of bending and getting bent back, the cable is falling apart and barely works.

Another minor issue is the speakers. While the speakers themselves are on par for the price range, the location underneath the front lip often leaves them blocked if the computer is not sitting on a flat surface.

Other Thoughts: This replaced an Acer C720, so not my first chromebook. I mostly love it, aside from the power cord issue. If left at a desk, I doubt any of the concerns would be noticed, but to me a small chromebook is supposed to be a go anywhere, on the couch, ect. computer.

Pros: - subjectively fast for a word processing/browsing/netflix computer
- handles about 10 chrome tabs with aplomb. if you want more, buy the 4gb ram upgrade.
- good battery life, mother never feels tethered
- decent touchpad
- good apple-esque island keyboard
- no usb 3.0, saves motherboard space
- reliable wifi. tested as N 5/2.4ghz. speedtest gets like 75mbits which is blazzzing fast for a chromebook.

Cons: not sure i can find any for a sub $200 device.
so glad netbooks are dead and buried.

Pros: micro hdmi port, micro sd port, great internet browser, speed is phenominal, battery will run all day. Overall, a great machine.

Cons: As of yet for the purchase, none. It's a great browser for the internet, and external media especially for on the go. It will not replace a full built pc.

Other Thoughts: if you are looking for a pc, look into a good built pc. if your looking for a for something that is not quite a pc, but will come up pretty close, say for browsing the web, playing games, (not to exclude emulators), you tube (project mine to my tv), ect, it's definently worth the purchase.
