5 out of 5 eggsFatastic laptop

Pros: Fast, hardy laptop --- faster than a lot of desktops.

Great 1080p and other perks.

Overall, by far the greatest computer I have ever come across.

I also very much like the fact that it is not flashy like most other gaming laptops. I use this for work, school, etc. (no games) si it is perfect.

Cons: Only con is the AWDS is outlined with white to show it is a gaming laptop...

Other Thoughts: Highly recommend it to anyone interested in investing is the best laptop they can find thus far.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Computer

Pros: -Very quick. Boots in 10 Seconds flat
-Sleek
-Screen looks decent
-GTX 965 (duh)

Cons: -Lack of easily accessible support for US customers.
-Battery could last longer. However, considering how much of a beast this machine is, I don't really care and it makes sense.

Other Thoughts: The keyboard isn't completely flat. I bought this computer for $1,300 USD and I know that it's more of a bang for buck kind of deal, but I still think that it should be better.
There is also a small light in the middle of the screen that is a couple pixels big that is brighter than the rest of the screen. Kind of annoying at first, but it's so small that I don't notice it now.

3 out of 5 eggsGIGABYTE P35Kv3-CF1 Gaming Laptop Intel Core i7 4720HQ (2.60GHz) 8GB Memory 1TB HDD 128GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M 4GB GDDR5 15.6" Windows 8.1 overview

Pros: This Gigabyte laptop is light, LED keyboard included (More info in the con section as well.) and a dedicated graphics card (As you'd expect from a gaming laptop these days.)

Booting up and shutting down takes mere seconds thanks to the Solid-State Drive this laptop comes with.

The HDD does a does a great job of loading and writing to the disk as well, averaging 120 MB/s at times when copying over files from my external hard drive. It's also spacious enough to hold various documents, videos, and whatever personal non-system things you need.

I have yet to test a game that cannot handle the GTX965m card. Then again I haven't exactly tried with it thus far. If the GTX965m won't be enough for users, the GTX970m version is DOUBLE the overall speed in most instances for games. If you are a serious gamer wanting ultra on everything I recommend that as a minimum.

The bloatware, where is it? This laptop came pretty much clean of any bloatware other than Gigabyte trying to give you a bunch of tools to ensure you feel you get the best out of this laptop.

Cons: The wifi is great, when it works... if it works. When booting on my laptop, every single time my wifi will be shut off or "broken" as windows seems to put it. I have to trouble shoot the adapter and have windows reset the device for it to work. When connected to my 5GHz wifi connection I will often be kicked off it from this laptop every few minutes and forced to my 2.4GHz connection. My desktop also has a wireless adapter I purchased through NewEgg, this adapter remains connected and at 4-5 bars while the wifi adapter my Gigabyte laptop uses continues to struggle with a connection. Running LAN Optimizer that came with this laptop actually worsens my connection speeds and brings my internet to an average of 4MB/s speed according to speed test, I've tried a couple sessions even with the latest version of LAN Optimizer to see if I was being nit picky. But every time my results remain less than if I were to keep the program closed. The firmware is up to date on this wireless adapter, and I'm not quite sure what is wrong with it other than it having trouble communicating. I considered going through the hassle of warranty to see if it was simply the laptop, but the idea is rather daunting considering I've never had this sort of issue before.

This is more of a NewEgg con. There are other sources that will offer this exact laptop with custom LED key lights instead of the standard white. The ability to customize this would be much better for those looking to have a theme for their laptop/desktop set up.

The DVD drive bay is swappable, but instead of having an HDD or weight saver, a spare battery that can charge this laptop would have been AMAZING. Perhaps this model will not have such a feature, but if you can double the battery life by removing the DVD drive, I would be all for it.

Other Thoughts: The laptop is definitely something I can use down the road for college and every day use, but the fact the wifi isn't stable doesn't make it that great for gaming.

The ability to change the fan controls through smart manager among other things is a nice handy tool app with everything in one location.

Windows 10 will be out soon for those who do not like Windows 8.1, the upgrade will be free so if the Operating system is an issue, you can try it out.

If I had re-done my purchase, I would have gone for the 16GB RAM version with the GTX970m. 8GB of RAM will be enough for gaming, but every day use in my case uses more.
