This review is from: GIGABYTE P37W-CF3 Gaming Laptop 4th Generation Intel Core i7 4720HQ (2.60 GHz) 16 GB Memory 1 TB HDD 256 GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M 6 GB GDDR5 17.3" Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit / Windows 8.1 Pro downgrade
Pros: Desktop power in laptop form. Great processor speed, lots of memory , plays graphic intensive games on highest settings. The solid state boots fast though I wish it wasn't split from factory, oh well, easy fix. The removable optical/hard drive tray is hot swapable which was not in advo. Very nice addition. Wifi works as it should. Gigabytes software offers some fun features that are user friendly for noobies getting into high end computers. (this was for my wife and she found it taught her a bit about what I babble about.) Over all, a great buy. Shipping was on time as usual.
Cons: Haven't found much to complain about. A subwoofer for the sound would have been nice, but the built speakers sound good and crisp enough to not take an egg.
Other Thoughts: I have built my own computers for 15+ yrs and always found laptops to be inferior. I was very surprised with this machine and would definitely recommend it. Gigabyte makes a solid machine.

Pros: Overall performance is excellent. Display is amazing - bright, great color and pin sharp. SSD and big secondary HD. High end graphics card. Windows 7 as shipped. Very little nonsense-ware as shipped. Decent amount of RAM. Amazing sound for a laptop. Thin. Reasonable number of USB 2 & 3 ports. VGA for legacy devices. I bet the macro keys are useful for some people. Battery life is good for this type of laptop.
Cons: The Intel WiFi module was flaky - would disable occasionally under high traffic conditions and needed a restart to fix. All Gigabyte had to offer was to restore to factory default and RMA the whole thing. Not practical for me, so I bought a new WiFi module for $20 and all is well. I asked GB to just send me a WiFi module, but they were implacable.
Other Thoughts: I didn't buy this for gaming, but as cheaper alternative to an HP ZBook mobile workstation. I'm delighted with it. I fixed the WiFi issue and upgraded to a 1TB SSD at the same time. Would definitely buy another GB laptop. It used to be that graphics cards that worked well for gaming were poor for 3D CAD, but I think that's no longer the case.
