5 out of 5 eggsFast, fast, fast!

Pros: Speed, price, reliability!

Cons: Weird docking

Other Thoughts: We bought this well over a year ago and the user is still happy as a clam! This thing is fast, reliable and inexpensive! Great laptop!

4 out of 5 eggsBeware Thinkpad Biased Reviews!

Pros: Lightweight, Lenovo High Quality Consumer Market Ultrabook, Lenovo backs up its warranties well, even with consumer class portable devices

Cons: Pricey at full manufacturer's Retail

Other Thoughts: Beware of overly negative buyer reviews by obsessed Thinkpad fans. You want real world comparisons with other consumer class utrabooks. The major laptop makers all have two lines, Enterprise (business) & Consumer. Enterprise models are considerably better designed & built (and usually light in the entertainment and multi-media configuration) & considerable more costly.

Generally speaking Lenovo (formerly IBM), consumer class computers are higher quality compared to the the other consumer class laptops. Comparing consumer class with enterprise and calling the former "junk" is like comparing a $55,000 Checker Cab with a similar $25,000 consumer class sedan and calling the later "junk", or a professional hair dryer with a home hair dryer & ruling the home model "junk"

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Ultrabook!

Pros: Beautiful Design, very thin and light, great battery, great performance, best keyboard on any Ultrabook, super fast boot and resume time. No vents on the bottom make this great for on lap or pillow use.

Cons: The price is a little high compared to other Ultrabooks. Touchpad is finicky until you update the drivers and tweak the settings to your needs. No backlit keyboard or SD card slot, although I don't miss them.

Other Thoughts: I absolutely Love this Ultrabook. I purchased from Newegg about 6 months ago, and use it daily at work and at home. It's a head turner for sure, everyone is impressed by it's beautiful looks and sleek design. It's as portable as a tablet, but gives you full functionality of a full powered laptop. Highly recommended!

2 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: It looks sorta nice. We're using them as kiosk machines for demos and customers to check e-mail on at trade shows.

Cons: The touchpad is not on par with the T420, X220, or even the X100e. The mouse buttons are worthless. You really need to hook up a mouse, and this takes up one of two precious USB slots.

The specifications are incorrect. Like all other ultrabooks, there is no Gigabit LAN. It's too thin. I was hopeful, but too bad. You need an ethernet to USB adapter, and there goes your other USB slot already. Not cool.

The screen is cheap and has a glossy finish. I would recommend a 3G privacy screen with a matte finish to cut down on glare.

The edge is sharp and not comfortable to handle. Did not expect this.

Other Thoughts: Nothing that I would share in good company. Glad I didn't pay for them with my personal funds.
