This review is from: Lenovo IdeaPad U300s (108027U) Intel Core i7 2677M (1.80GHz) 4GB Memory 256GB SSD 13.3" Notebook Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Pros: My previous laptop was a Dell Vostro V13 (single core Celeron processor, 2 GB RAM, 250GB hard drive) which recently went bad on me and instead of fixing it I decided to pick up one of the new ultrabooks. I’m not a huge fan of the design of most other ultrabooks and how they basically copied the Macbook Airs taper. The U300s has a very unique design compared to the others with its almost book like appearance.
Cons: I’ve not really used the arrow keys but I would say that the do seem a bit close/small. The touchpad is great; it’s very larger, much larger than my previous ones. It’s super responsive. Personally I’d prefer it have separate buttons for right/left click but it’s beginning to be something I’m getting used to. The touchpad does look really sharp though compared to one with physical keys.
Other Thoughts: Battery life seems to be decent, I haven’t done any real testing or measuring of the batter life, I’ve been using it to type up this review for about a half hour or so and the battery says it still has around four and a half hours left.
