Pros: Big laptop, nice screen, speedy cpu/gpu for its price range.

Cons: Like other posters noted, the fan died. Since it was out of warranty, I had to replace it myself. It disassembled easily enough.

Other Thoughts: Make sure the vents are free when using it, especially in bed or on the couch.

Pros: This a great computer, although large. Come preloaded with everything you could need, but we're running Linux easily on it too.

Cons: Like a previous review, we registered the day we got it and the warranty expired two days prior. Yesterday we started getting CPU fan errors and the fan motor has stopped functioning. Now I'm on the hunt for a new fan.

Pros: The laptop has very good performance for the price. Its exactly what I expected

Cons: Its definitely a bit bulky but the screen size makes it worthwhile for my needs.

Other Thoughts: The refurbished laptop claimed to come with a HP factory warranty. When I received the laptop I immediately registered it with HP. The warranty check indicated it was 7 months out of warranty the day I received it.

Secondly, the supposedly refurbished laptop arrived with a melted CPU fan. The rotor was fused to the assembly from overheating. At POST the laptop was throwing a 90B "fan stuck" error code. Since it was supposedly out of warranty I spent the $6 on a new, aftermarket fan and replaced it. While replacing the fan I found that the heatsink was compacted with fine powder and cat hair. So clearly there was no refurb work done on this laptop. It was simply reboxed and restickered with a new serial number.

All issues aside it is an excellent laptop and the price was great even if it needed some repair.

Pros: Overall great computer. Nice large screen and fast Booting.

Cons: Only thing that would make this laptop a lot better would be a better hard drive since the stock HDD is easily bogged down with a simple installation while web browsing.

Other Thoughts: for gaming this laptop is great for a lot of games. Upgrading the ram to max 8GB's is a must for gaming but its a cheap upgrade thats well worth it.

Pros: Good fast computer comes with Bluetooh.

Cons: The screen is really 16.6 in. and not as advertised to be 17.3 in. viewable.
