DON'T BUY THIS
Pros: The only pro's of this computer is the blue ray player and high resolution screen.
Cons: Their is so many cons to this computer it's unbelievable. The wireless connector is incompatible with type N routers, giving a no internet access error when you are "connected." After around 30 minutes of web browsing the computer is usually around 110 degrees or hotter. Playing any high CPU usage game will result in the computer overheating after 45-mins-1hr if not cooled(i.e. placing a house fan right next to it, plus a cooling pad, on a hard surface). The overall design of this computer is terrible; all of the vent opening are on the BOTTOM on a LAPtop. All in all this is a DO NOT BUY item, if you're going to drop a good $600 on a laptop, this is the biggest rip off that you could find.

looks nice.., but it's a junky disaster
Pros: It's big, lot's of features, nice screen, lightscribe you'll love it or hate it...I hate it because you can't scroll across a page w/active links...w/out activating them with nothing but the touch of a fart on the keyboard. Battery life is REALLY GOOD!!! coming from an old dell that lasted an hour, this thing is forever running machine.
Cons: It's a hunk of junk, I've had it replaced, the first one showed up at the door broken, bio-metircs work..sometimes, say 40%-60% of the time..maybe, the AMD's are slow as hell, keyboard, and the rest of it is very delicate, THESE THINGS HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM FOR THE FANS CRAPPING OUT ON THEM!!! CHECK ONLINE!!! Just after the warranty is out, the fan craps out....badly.
Other Thoughts: junk, the fan fails and you get an error pre-bios, it's not a portable laptop, but it's too delicate to go places anyway, you can, if you need too, but keep it in a protected, padded case, or something, not a back pack, get an Intel proc. not the AMDs they are slow as hell, I've got single core boxes/w raptor drives that are almost 8 years old that smoke this. Yes, four cores, but they're still slow. Oh and this thing is the KING of bloatware, I still can't find it all, wish I could do a complete reinstall of windows...7!!! Biometrics work....sometimes, but don't get dry hands, or wash them, or....expect it to work more than 40-60% of the time, and that's generous. Really, a lot of people and I was the same get these and think, "Wow look at the HD size, memory, features, webcam, but really...it's not that great of a deal.
