Pros: can easyilly run games that i have such as flight and flight simulator x and team fortress 2, back lit keyboard looks great, fast boot time, plenty of storage space, usb 3.0

Cons: only drawback is the small size of the up and down arrow keys

Pros: Price, Processor, RAM, Hard Drive, basically everything about the computer itself is pretty good. For the price of $500 you're not going to find a better deal. Package was here day earlier than expected. The back lighting that you can turn on and off is pretty neat to play with.

Cons: Does not come with a user manual (at least mine didn't). As stated before, it comes in a vacuum sealed bag attached to a cardboard backing in box. A bit weird but it came here in one piece.

Other Thoughts: I like cookies

Pros: To save you some time... read John_Dowty's review. His review is practically an identical (line-by-line) experience to mine. His pros and cons are all exactly the same for me. Just to highlight the more important points to me... solid construction, lots of CPU power, RAM and HD space for the money, and I really like the backlit keyboard.

Cons: Like John_Dowty, I will also mention that the screen resolution is not outstanding, but I feel it's acceptable for this price range.

Other Thoughts: Like John_Dowty, I also made this purchase for my wife to replace her 4 yr old HP laptop... it was time to upgrade, as she uses it daily for work and pleasure. Couple other points to mention... this comes with Win 7, which was a must for me (my wife is not ready for the leap to Win 8!) and since this was a refurb I added a 1 yr warranty for ~90 (still can't beat the price!).

Pros: A very solid, lightweight laptop. Has nice audio for a laptop and excellent graphics. I am very pleased with this purchase at a great price from Newegg.

Cons: None so far.

Pros: -wife loves the thin size, weight is light, and plenty fast
-It feels, and looks like a very well built system.
-The brushed aluminum case looks very sleek.
-Battery life is actually much better than expected. Ran updates, and installs, along with some HD youtube from ~4pm-midnight. Brightness was set low during installs, but still impressive.
-Price is right at ~$500 on sale.
-8GB ram is nice
-i5 3210 is a good, quick processor.
-No stuttering with 1080 video, smooth.
-backlit keyboard looks very pretty
For being a refurb, it looked perfect.
No scratches, no damage, no old battery.. everything looks, and performs as new.

Cons: -Shipped in a strange, non-padded box, with no tape.
(No damage, but still, odd.)
-Screen resolution isn't "bad", but at 720p on 15.6" it was noticeable up close that it was the best.
-Bios (even after update) had very few options. No over-temp shutdown, graphics memory allocation.. very lack-luster configuration options. (Maybe there is software to change these settings, but I haven't dug that deep into it yet.)

Other Thoughts: I was a little wary of getting another HP for the wife after her old one bit the dust (over time). I am, however, pleased with this laptop. She really enjoys it so far, and as an almost-ultrabook w/dvd drive, it's a great system.

If I liked/would use a laptop at all, I would buy one of these for myself.
