5 out of 5 eggsBetter than expected

Pros: Been using this laptop for just over a year and it still packs a lot of punch. I would recommend this or a similar one to anyone looking to replace a desktop.

To add to it's useful life we did do a few upgrades: Swapping out the 802.11n card for an Intel 802.11ac+Bluetooth 4 card gave us a lot more network throughput; Adding more RAM allowed for better performance without using HDD swap space; finally, a SATA SSD drive set up as the boot device made Windows load almost instant. I would highly recommend all of these upgrades.

Cons: If you need to be truly portable, look at a tablet instead.

4 out of 5 eggsNot Perfect, But Mighty fine

Pros: A pretty good work horse for light end video and graphics work. Bought on a refurbish so the price was right $1,500 is too much for unit.

Cons: Not super rugged, and the screen size chews through the battery relatively quickly. Warm, but not insanely hot for a laptop.
