5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast and responsive.

Cons: I had to install an additional 4gbs of Ram and an SSD to make it extremely fast.

Other Thoughts: I can't believe the price!!

I bought this 6 months ago from another Site for $399.00.

NEVER would have purchased at this price.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: None

Cons: Product came with motherboard issues, preventing unit from running off battery. HP's support was less than useless, refused to replace unit. Had to return it to Newegg instead.

Other Thoughts: I'm returning it and buying a Dell.

4 out of 5 eggsBrewzalot

Pros: Win 7 Pro, Starts and runs fine. Good performance to price. Comes with Windows 8 should you be inclined.

Cons: Touchpad less than responsive to clicks as noted in other reviews.

Other Thoughts: Industrial Strength. Product key burnt into BIOS

4 out of 5 eggsGood notebook

Pros: Decent battery life, light weight, numeral keypad
Windows 7, sharp screen images, easy access bottom cover makes it a snap to add memory. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Cons: Touchpad is too "touchy"
No scroll bar on touchpad

Other Thoughts: Pretty much what I needed. I stayed with the installed Windows 7 rather than using Windows 8. This is a good basic notebook. It does what I need to do, which is mostly spreadsheets, word processing and web email. Still trying to figure out the touchpad. Sometimes it is overly responsive and sometimes I think I need to hit it with a hammer and sometimes it does things I don't want it to do. I did add 4 gb of ram, so it now has the 8 gb limit.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat laptop for the price

Pros: One of the few laptops you can still get with Windows 7 Pro that doesn't have tons of bloatware and is at a reasonable price.

Cons: Like many others in its class, touchpad is touchy and can be annoying when trying to type on integrated keyboard. Not enough to count off an egg.

1 out of 5 eggsWindows 8 Continues to Destroy Everything

Pros: The computer itself is really nice looking and if it had real Windows 7 (or XP or whatever), then it would be a fantastic little laptop.

Cons: The major con is that this is a DOWNGRADE from Windows 8 to Windows 7, not a laptop that comes with Windows 7. This means all the B.S. from Windows 8 is still on the computer slowing it down.

It was so unbelievably slow, it was unusable. My husband lasted a few days before he had a fit (around the 3 minute mark waiting for Chrome to open) and decided to return it.

Other Thoughts: I wish I had known there was a $72 restocking fee, which is a little outrageous.

Not Newegg's fault obviously, but Windows 8 is just the worst. It's unreal that they took the worst parts of Mac and the worst parts of Windows and mushed them into an unholy abomination.

As a Macbook user, I can see exactly where they try to copy Mac, but they left out the usability and shortcuts! You see, when you leave out the start menu, you replace it with shortcuts and other ways to access your files (like Finder), you don't just remove a way to find your files!

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad for the price we'll see if it lasts.

Pros: Very easy to use, four screws hold the drive to the inside assembly, the metal sides snap into place and can be removed by the touch of a button. Does what it's supposed to.

Cons: Inside tray is made of cheap plastic and doesn't line up properly with the drive screw holes without some effort. Plastic was warped on the one I purchased. But I got it to fit, not a great deal of room inside.

Other Thoughts: Not a bad little case but if I had to do it all over again I would purchase the Rosewill or Masscool units for a few dollars more.

1 out of 5 eggsNever Buy

Pros: I would have to say there are no pros

Cons: mouse gives out at one month in, keeps saying cap locks is on when it is not and the cap locks will not "turn off"

5 out of 5 eggsStill a Good Price

Pros: Same as my original review, excellent low end productivity system, WINDOWS 7 Pro, cant beat it for the price. Clients love this system.
Upgrade to 8 Gigs $39.00 . Solid System, Functional.

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: Have Bought several of these units at different prices all reasonable. Easy sell to clients, HP ProBook, sounds Professional.
It Just Works.
