4 out of 5 eggsOverall Good Deal - May Need Upgrades

Pros: Processor - Quad-Core APU
Graphics - AMD 8550 (Built into APU)
RAM - PC3-12800 (1600Mhz) - this is nice considering the price of the laptop and how much the APU relies on faster RAM for graphics performance (SEE CONS FOR MORE RAM INFO)
Screen - good size for general use and power saving. The anti-glare is a definite plus.
Keyboard - good quality - there's no clicking, sticking or squeaking and it has a number pad
6 Cell Lith-Ion battery - lasts a long time depending on power settings and most laptops I've compared to this one base on price only had 3 or 4
There are two hardware buttons for toggling the wifi and the sound which is nice.
The touch pad has the double-tap toggle feature at the top left of it which makes it very easy turn the touch pad on/off.
It ships with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit installed
It ships with Windows 7 Pro install CD and a Driver CD
It ships with Windows 8 install CD and a Driver CD

Cons: The installed RAM is only 4GB. This isn't really an problem except for the fact that it is ONE 4GB stick not 2 x 2GB. This prevent the RAM from running in Dual Channel mode which in turn hinders performance which may or may not be noticeable depending on how you're using the laptop. I recommend getting an additional PC3-12800 1600Mhz stick to throw in there. 4GB is pretty low for trying to run Windows 7 or 8 anyway.
I tested RAM from my old HP Pavilion dv7 which runs at 1333Mhz but with 2 x 4GB sticks (Its Official HP RAM too). When I rebooted the laptop it complained that the RAM was incompatible and may cause issues. It does this every time regardless of what type of RAM you put in there but all you have to do is press ENTER and it will still boot without issue. I threw in 2 x 8GB 1600Mhz sticks and it still complains (oh well).

Other Thoughts: I really like this laptop and it performs well with my added RAM. I use it for programming and light gaming. I tested Skyrim on it and it auto-detected High for graphics settings and it plays seamlessly. I also tested Dark Souls which ran without issue either.
Make sure you update the graphics drivers from AMD.
