1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy from Newegg

Pros: None

Cons: Machine constantly froze and then when totally dark with-in 30 days of receiving it. Submitted RMA info within 30 days and got blown off by this horrible company. They start running your 30 day warranty on refurbs before you actually receive the product. Do not buy any refurb from this company. You will get hosed if you have a problem.

3 out of 5 eggsGood value if you can see past problems

Pros: At under $300, this is a good value with solid performance and a reasonable screen if you can get past the cons below. Cosmetically very nice, but it has a prominent "Refurbished" sticker on it that I am unable to remove.

Cons: Battery arrived dead and unchargeable. The web cam also would not work and a google search reveals it is a common problem since new. I would have expected a refurbished product (that meets original specs) would have a working battery and web cam. The brushed aluminum finish is just a sticker over plastic.

4 out of 5 eggsGood value for school and multi-tasking

Pros: Laptop came exactly as described. Little to no way of telling it was refurbished. All ports work. Screen is excellent.

Windows 7 installed upon arrival. Works Flawlessly. 4GB of ram is perfect amount for the i5 processor.

Battery was in good condition. I gave it one 8 hour charge upon arrival and it took over 4 hours for the laptop to drop below 5% battery. This test was conducted while a movie was streaming and I was working on Microsoft Excel. I did buy an extra 9 cell battery, but that is for travel.

Cons: Screen resolution is bad, but that is the sacrifice when buying a $300.00 laptop with 4GB of ram. No need for high resolution as it is not good enough to game on, but just perfect to run excel, Microsoft word, a browser, and a couple other programs at the same time without missing a beat.

4 out of 5 eggsA Little Disapointed

Pros: Nice Computer. Works good and not filled up with a lot of junk.

Cons: Battery was Dead as Dead. Would not charge at all. Computer would die as soon as it was unplugged. Bought a new battery for it and is now working good. I kind of thought that refurbished meant that everything was in working order.

Other Thoughts: I still would recommend this computer, even after buying a new battery, It was around $350 which isn't bad.
