5 out of 5 eggsvery impressed

Pros: very impressed with this refurb very fast and scratch and dents really got to search for them kinda looks like old laptop out of box hopefully I will get this lucky when I buy another one with bigger screen and I-7 PS brought it for daughter for school but its hard for me to let go

Cons: none with this unit other than I would prefer bigger screen and lighter and maybe office software but for price you can't expect everything lol

3 out of 5 eggsMaybe good, Maybe Bad

Pros: You're getting a former top-of-the-line laptop for about the same price as a Chromebook. At under $300, it's definitely a gem-- compare the chip specs to what's out there in the same price range and it's a no brainer. I'm running SolidWorks with no issues.

Cons: 1.) This comes with a generic Win7 image (that also has Libre Office). You will have to go through the trouble of installing all necessary drivers, which will need to be downloaded on a separate machine since this can't use ethernet or wireless until you do. If I lost you at the word drivers, then this isn't the machine for you. If you're buying this for your parents, be prepared to spend about 40 minute on the driver install process.

2.) Refurbished apparently means a cleaned exterior, decent battery, and freshly imaged hdd. You probably shouldn't expect any other repairs. Mine arrived with spec sheet and it showed a "worn-out" left mouse button on the touchpad. It works, but the spring action isn't there and it simply feels broken. Honestly, it's horribly annoying and since it's a mechanical defect, the machine should have been listed as a lower grade. (yes, of course I enabled tap on the touchpad but I still notice the bad button)

Other Thoughts: I don't care about scratches or dents since that's going to happen anyway. I think a true refurbished machine shouldn't have any defects-- isn't that part of the process?
Even with that considered, it's a bargain and I needed something powerful and portable-- I spend hours comparing at the end of November and this was the best option.
