Pros: Is light, decent specs, great battery life. Exactly what I was looking for: A light but not slow laptop.

Cons: Touch pad is apparently flawed. After several weeks of owning this laptop the touch pad began acting erratically. I contacted HP and was told they'd dispatch a box next-day for me to return the laptop for repair. Days went by. No box. I contact support and am matched with the same support agent as last time and I tell her I haven't received the box. She sends another apathetically and I got it next business day. At this stage it has been a week of me using this laptop without a touch pad. After they receive my laptop, I am told the part they need is out of stock and they will need to wait a month. It would've been great to know that before sending it back because now I am without a laptop. I receive the laptop back and another month goes by. Guess what? The touch pad is doing the same thing. How does this pass quality control? A touch pad is extremely important, especially if you're already selling a device with a touch-screen OS but no touchscreen.

Other Thoughts: I used to be a PC person but this is the second PC (first was a Lenovo that I had so many problems with I decided to replace it with this laptop) that has had a major hardware defect that renders it useless. I'll probably return to using Dell because in my experience they can at least correct defects quickly instead of a month later (only to have the same flaw). If that doesn't work then looks like I'll sell my kidney and get a Macbook capable of running a Windows 8.1 virtual machine.
