2 out of 5 eggsNVIDIA GPU is NOT what you get to use

This review is from: DELL Alienware ANW15-5357SLV Gaming Laptop 4th Generation Intel Core i7 4710HQ (2.50 GHz) 16 GB Memory 1 TB HDD 128 GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M 3 GB GDDR5 15.6" Windows 8.1

Pros: - CPU is blazing fast (somehow faster than my wildly-over-clocked-and-over-upgraded desktop)
- Touch screen is brilliant
- No external media drive (finally) - and not cuz it's anorexic, Apple. Cuz you just don't need one.

Cons: - GPU defaults to the integrated Intel HD 4600 (on the CPU). If the thing didn't come with a separate beast of a card (like the NVIDIA 970M), this might be just what some other entry-level user needs. But it certainly wouldn't be an Alienware anymore either.
- Extremely disappointed in the lack of support on the Dell site and lack of information available on this issue.

Other Thoughts: BIOS has nothing useful and with all up-to-date drivers (which can even see both GPUs) there is still no foreseeable method of switching to the GPU that should have been enabled to begin with. Plugging in to an external display doesn't help either (with extended desktop).

I don't think I've ever rated something this low but sadly I can't justify anything higher right now.
