3 out of 5 eggsPretty "meh"

Pros: This laptop is relatively cheap for the specs you get. An older i5 and SSD handle general computing with ease.

It comes with Windows 7 so you don't have to "upgrade" from Windows 8.

More battery life than I expected. I get just about three hours for light web surfing/coding.

Cons: I had to have newegg RMA the first unit I received. It appeared as if it had never gone through quality control. If it did, the person that approved it must have been very sleep deprived.

-The first one had a large chunk of insulation missing on the charger, allowing the wires to arc (yes, they arced). The charger also didn't charge the laptop.
-The left click button had no "click" feedback left. It was entirely worn out.
-The lid did not latch.
-The laptop was pretty dirty looking. Nasty stuff in the speaker grills and on the screen.

With both the original laptop I received and the replacement, the screen quality is incredibly poor. It cannot really display red properly. It's more like a pale pink/orange color. It's still usable, but it's not beautiful by any means.

With the laptop I currently have, I'm having issues with the drivers. I tried to contact Dell but they said my coverage (warranty) was void. Not sure how that's possible, or who to contact about getting that resolved. It seems like any of the updates they suggest, via the Dell support website, don't work. I've tried many times to get myself off the original BIOS, and none of their updates will even start. They fail on start.

Other Thoughts: The laptop gets really hot. Unless you like your legs cooked to about medium, I'd say this is only a for table use laptop.

For those wondering if it has a webcam, it doesn't. The little thing on the lid that looks like webcam is a light sensor.

The SSD in this laptop is a Samsung PB22 FDE. They don't necessary seem to have the best track record with speed or reliability.

Not sure I'd buy refurbished again. Hopefully my job will pay for a good new one after college.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Price/Performance ratio is awesome, very sturdy, feature rich, and super quiet. Doesn't come with bloatware. The SSD allows for insanely fast boot time and the i5 proc kicks.

Cons: Aside from negligible scuffs on the outer-shell: none whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: Surprised to see a built in card reader; must have been a military or government laptop prior to refurbishment? Being in the Army, it's a great surprise.

5 out of 5 eggsjust as advertised

Pros: fast, durable, came with the 128gb ssd (super fast) as advertised. also it randomly came with a 2GB Nvidia graphics card installed! as well as fresh version of windows 7

my pc arrived in 3 days and it was clean, very minor scuffs that's pretty much unnoticeable. I have no problems at all with my laptop. Great buy for 300$

Cons: no webcam, nor backlit keyboard. No worries because I wasnt expecting either, would of been a nice bonus though. (i bought a backlit keyboard for 20 online it should be an easy install)

Other Thoughts: ive been shopping with newegg for years and they havent let me down yet. thanks newegg

4 out of 5 eggsGood for the money.

Pros: Solid construction. Had no obvious external damage, despite being refurbished
Above average specs, especially for the price.
Non-reflective screen.
Backlit keyboard.
Trackpad is responsive.
Win 7 Pro 64-bit.

Cons: SSD is a Dell proprietary made by Samsung. Lots of issues with the SSDs reported, looks like a lot were fixed with the release of Intel RST. None yet on my end, but I'll likely end up pulling the trigger on a better/more stable SSD.
Screen viewing angle's kind of finnicky. May just be me, however.

Other Thoughts: Purchased for site-to-site VPN work for a client who wanted something a little speedier than what they were usually stuck with.
No real gripes other than some sort of junk lodged under the speaker screens. Pried that apart to clear it out. Laptop looks good and performs very decently. For a mid-range business or school laptop, hard to find a better deal.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat bang for the buck

Pros: Great performance, and didn't come with any bloatware included. The description said it'd have AVG, Libre Office, VLC and some other stuff but mine didn't come with any of that (thankfully). The model I got actually has a decent Nvidia video chipset and not the Intel one mentioned.

Cons: Like the other reviewer mentioned, the battery on mine will definitely need to be replaced sooner than later. I don't plan on traveling around with this laptop so it's going to be plugged in 90% of the time so this isn't a huge deal for me.

The touchpad on this model is tiny, but isn't a dealbreaker for two reasons: 1) I planned on buying a wireless mouse to use with it, and 2) The Dell touchpad software is actually pretty awesome for tweaking the settings.

One minor con is that I had to install a bunch of device drivers myself (not a problem for me but I could see the average user getting confused about this)

Other Thoughts: I wanted a cheap 13"-14" laptop to replace my Macbook Pro that died via water damage. I wasn't about to pay Apple $750 to fix it and my renter's insurance reimbursed me about $250, so I searched for a cheap alternative. I chose the Dell over a few Asus models mostly because if anything goes wrong I have easy access to a great Dell rep and lots of spare parts via my job.

1 out of 5 eggsNo Webcam

Pros: SSD + I5 = fast computer

Cons: I specifically asked buyer if this had a web cam, because my mom wanted a webcam and now she is not happy with my purchase.

Other Thoughts: i dont like it when seller lie... not cool

2 out of 5 eggsMostly Right

Pros: The laptop that arrived at my porch was indeed a refurbished Dell Latitude 6410.

The laptop that arrived at my porch possessed an 8800 mWh battery, that had 23% wear, and thus was more like a 6700 mWh battery. Which is still good.

Cons: The laptop that arrived at my porch did not possess a 128 GB SSD. Instead it was equipped with a 5400 rpm 160 GB WD HDD. Not quite the same thing.

The laptop that arrived at my porch was barely assembled. The screen assembly was dead-set on coming off.

Other Thoughts: Newegg issued an RMA very quickly. Let's see how I feel about this discounted product after I have to spend more money on shipping.
