4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Good price. Lots of connectivity. Decent speed. Seems brand new.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Purchased this for work to use with projectors/TVs. So far so good.

1 out of 5 eggsmore like heavily used NOT refurbished

Pros: Good hardware specs for the price...

Cons: The first unit I received had significant signs of wear on the track pad and the areas where your hands rest while typing, and the exterior was covered in scratches. The wear was far beyond that of any other refurbished product I have encountered before. The real issue was that it was plagued with the blue screen of death.

I just received my replacement unit and can't believe the condition it is in. It literally looks like someone crushed a bag of potato chips then proceeded to open it and sprinkle the contents all over the keyboard and screen then shut the lid and packed it up for shipping. After spending about 10 minuets cleaning up the mess (I still need to remove the keyboard because you can see and hear debris crunching on every keystroke) I further inspected the product, there a a few liquid stains (as if someone spilled soda and didn't wipe it up) on the flat surface areas around the keyboard. This unit also has significant signs of wear, about 10 of the keys on the keyboard are worn thin, some are so bad that only fragments of the letters that should be on the keys are still present. Unlike the first laptop I received this unit properly boots into windows, but I cant exactly get excited about that.

Other Thoughts: If I didn't need this laptop for a new hire starting next week I would be sending it back just as I did the first one. Instead I'll be replacing the keyboard which doesn't make this deal nearly as good as it looks.

The product title should be HEAVILY USED Dell Latitude as both units I received where far from refurbished!

I tell people all the time that Newegg is the place to go if you want a good price for a good product with great service, now I know that isn't always the case.

3 out of 5 eggsSolid Computer

Pros: It's a solid computer. Light up keyboard, clean, nice feel, i5 and 4gigs. The hdd I got os a Western Digital 7200rpm so it's not a ssd, but does the job.

Cons: The battery mine came with is bad. After the first charge to get it started it immediately showed the "Consider Replacing your battery" red X over the icon in the notification. It's fine when plugged in but won't last more than 20 minutes because of the battery.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Inexpensive Notebook PC

Pros: Good price for I5 performance. This was an economical option after all older XP machines were retired and a notebook was needed for employee travel.

Cons: After purchasing several refurbished PCs from Newegg without any problems, the first PC sent had a problem with the case around the screen. It was returned to Newegg for replacement. While the amount of time for the RMA to be processed was a bit long, the replacement is working fine and came in without any defects.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this to anyone looking for an economical, ready to travel notebook. This one was ordered for a business but I have considered buying one for myself. The only advice I have is to inspect thoroughly before loading any software.
