Pros: Small but mighty! More in other thought.

Cons: Single band WiFi/Bluetooth that knock each other out when used simultaneously. More in other thoughts

Other Thoughts: I bought this to take along on my motorcycle road trips. The size is perfect for packing it into my luggage bag, no extra bag along with my 17" laptop needed anymore. Anyway...
I must confess I was a little worried that this was going to be slow but having read the reviews from others with the Intel® Pentium® Processor N3540 I elected to give it a try. No regrets. Without doing any upgradess I would say the average person will be happy with this on a whole except with the possibility of the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card. It's rather lacking to say the least but it does maintain a minimum function when you don't run both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth simultaneously. There really are much better Wi-Fi/Bluetooth cards out there at minimum expense. I was wholeheartedly surprised as to how much pep this had even with a 5400 rpm drive in it. Never had any hang-ups or majorly slow lags when installing software. That said...
Being the construction nerd I am I elected to do my own upgrades immediately. The Intel® Pentium® Processor N3540 is only capable of supporting Sata2, not that Sata3 drives don't work in it, they do, so you will have to decide if the extra $Benjamin is worth the processor upgrade for Sata3 speeds. I felt it wasn't but that's just me. I first tried the Crucial 250gb BX100 SSD to no avail as the uefi didn't recognize it at all. That's okay though because it does work in my other non Dell laptop. The next SSD I tried was a 512gb Samsung 850 PRO MZ-7KE512BW which works phenomenally great, I mean instant on great! Next upgrade was 8gb of Crucial BLS8G3N169ES4 memory. Last but by far from least is the upgrade of the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card which is a 7260NGW Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC.
Even with those upgrades if you're looking for something that's is capable of playing GPU/CPU intensive games, this isn't it. But it is more than capable of running all of the everyday task at hand with some light gaming like old school emulators with Zelda roms. If that fits the bill then this is for you! (hide)
