1 out of 5 eggsTwo Thumbs Down

Pros: Good price for a light gaming laptop with what appears to be a good GPU

Cons: I went through three of these laptops before Newegg finally just refunded my money. They all had various issues with them including: critical boot failures, referenced memory not reading and failing, freezing and crashing when using GPU in use. Each time lenovo recommended I just return the laptop for a refund or replacement and one tech stated this was a common problem.

I really wanted this laptop to work out but unforunately it's just not worth the time and hassle and I honestly am questioning whether or not I will shop newgg again.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth it.

Pros: Specs.

Cons: Everything else. The motherboard broke on me after one day and I had to send it in for a month to get repaired. The trackpad is awful and basically unusable. Windows 8 is horrible but that's another story. The keyboard is okay but not backlit, it takes a good 10min after booting before it isn't incredibly slow, and is just overall a very disappointing machine. I recommend getting an Asus instead.

Other Thoughts: I bought this based off specs alone. Never again. The trackpad matters a lot because I don't want to have to always use a mouse just to get around. Lenovo makes very cheap laptops and they wont have my business again. Especially if it's going to take them an entire month just to fix an issue... and I had to pay to ship it to them? I had it one day... very unhappy with Lenovo.

5 out of 5 eggsplays games well for such a low price

Pros: Great video card for such a low price. It plays the games I want to play at high ratings and seems to handle anything I through at it well.

Cons: Track pad takes some getting use to. I use a mouse whenever possible. Windows 8 is awful, but everyone knows that.

5 out of 5 eggsIdeal Gaming Laptop!

Pros: Speed, speed, speed.
Runs very cool and very quiet.
Ultra-quiet keyboard that has a good feel to it.
Windows 8. I was worried about it before the purchase because of all the negativity surrounding it, but I absolutely love it.
Great price point for such a powerful laptop.

Cons: Windows 8 again, perhaps. As I said, I adore it, but I realize not everyone is fond of change. In my opinion, Windows 8 isn't worse than any other version of Windows; just different.
The touchpad is positioned a bit awkwardly. I find myself accidently tapping it with the base of my left hand a lot, which is truly bad in games like Battlefield 3, where accidentally tapping the pad causes my gun to fire. Also, since this area is where the video card is located, it can get a smidge warm under heavy load. Not good when gaming, since it's right under where the left wrist sets when using the WASD keys.

This is all very nit-picky kind of stuff, though. Still an amazing laptop.

Other Thoughts: FRAPS Gaming Benchmarks (all run at 1366x768) - Min, Max, Avg
Assassin's Creed III (Average settings) - 28, 55, 39.456
Battlefield 3 (Lowest Settings, Multiplayer, Wake Island) - 25, 104, 42.749
Battlefield 3 (Auto Settings, Multiplayer, Wake Island) - 20, 44, 29.027
Star Wars: The Old Republic (Max Settings, Tython) - 16, 64, 33.586
NBA 2K12 (Max Settings, One Quarter) - 39, 64, 59.395

3 out of 5 eggsIt's a LEMON.

Pros: It is just like advertised a good mid range gaming laptop with a decent dedicated graphics card.

Cons: Within the first day after downloading GuitarPRO 6 I had it crash and reboot several times. I finally got GuitarPRO working but cant download the Realistic sound drivers without it crashing.

I have installed Left4Dead and it runs good with the i5's HD 4000 - Cause I can't seem to figure out how to get the &*$# Nvidia graphics card to run instead. Went to the Nvidia control panel and changed multiple settings only to get the same message when booting STEAM "Unrecognized graphics card HD 4000 blah blah blah"

Aslo every now and then when booting up or waking from sleep the screen stays a dark color forcing me to hold power button and pressing it again to kick start the screen.

Im nervous investing anything more into this laptop,I am aslo unsure what route I take to get these problems solved at this point.

Not sure if it's going to last me like I would want it to.

Other Thoughts: It's a good laptop. I don't know what these problems are and if it's just mine. If these problems im experiencing were fixed I would give it 10 stars for my need for it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat laptop with a few oddities

Pros: It is a very fast laptop and for the price it is a killer deal. It has a good sound system and the graphics run most games fairly well

Cons: I am not sure if it is the mouse itself or how it interacts with windows 8 but it is a very odd set up. You have to hold down the right click button to get the options to come up. It sometimes seems to have a mind of its own.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid laptop, horrible OS

Pros: Reasonably powerful, good battery life, well-built, great keyboard.

Cons: Windows 8.

Other Thoughts: I would give it 5 eggs were it not for Windows 8 being so awful. Everything that was easy in every prior iteration of Windows becomes a chore, and the multi-touch shenanigans they tout so much works only half-the time. Great hardware, terrible OS.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Laptop

Pros: Windows 8, yes it is good.
Fast processor.
2 gpu's. integrated to save battery and GT 635m for gaming. Auto switches
Great storage and ram is fast.

Cons: Learning Curve for Win 8
Bloatware although my others laptops were worse.

Other Thoughts: Great laptop, keeps cool, good battery life for reg pc apps and internet. I've spent maybe 30 min watching videos or reading a basics tutorial on win 8. Stop wineing and just learn it. I think its fun.

5 out of 5 eggsbest laptop I've ever had

Pros: Built-in DOLBY sound effects customization, Nvidia Geforce 635M literally surpasses intel i5 and i7 HD graphics in terms of processing graphics and the speed.

Keyboard and touchpad are really sensitive and comfortable to type with.

High quality built-in webcam, I think it's 5.0 MP webcam, but I could be wrong. I like some of the photo editing Lenovo softwares

Cons: too bad they jacked up the price, so now it's $629, at least $70 more than when I purchased it.

hard-drive may need upgraded for faster processing speed. But given the current specs, my computer rating is around 5.7, I wouldn't complain

Other Thoughts: My eyes are really light sensitive, last few laptops I owned didn't really tailor to the light sensitivity issue especially for those with the need to be around computers.

Lenovo display allows you to lower brightness to a point where you can spend a few hours on this laptop without much staining on your eyes.
