Pros: Great specs

Cons: Nothing works! Super slow and I have had to replace so many pieces.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: -Super fast (I've played games like Skyrim on it, and it works great!)
-SSD is a great addition
-Lots of HDD space
-Not that expensive for a gaming laptop

Cons: There are a few small things:
-The keyboard is a bit flimsy, the entire keyboard moves when you type one letter.
-It gets very hot near where one would rest their hand
-The SSD isn't quite big enough to transfer the OS to.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I like this laptop a lot, and it is great for gaming, without the multi-thousand dollar price tag.

Pros: I have to say I am fairly well impressed. This laptop runs great. The battery life is pretty decent I am getting close to the mark. I have yet to slow this beast down..

Cons: my only negative is getting adjusted to windows 8 other than that its been great.

2 out of 5 eggsLoved it but

Pros: When I first got it I was afraid of the wifi issue but I didnt have any.
I loved using it. It turned on fast, light weight and was easy to carry around.

Cons: There seems to be some that have a problem with unexpected shut downs. It would happen to me about 3 times while using it. Not sure what the issue is but returning it because I don't want to lose any work. Also Windows 8 is a hassle

Other Thoughts: I would have loved to keep it if Lenovo would have solved the issue but since I just got mine a week ago I decided to return it would be easier instead of trying to get Lenovo to fix it. It seems too much of a hassle to call them and send it in.

4 out of 5 eggsIdeapad U410

Pros: A great laptop for the price, I got mine for $720 and no free external drive. I also ordered the Cruicial 250GB SSD to replace the internal SATA drive

Cons: the Internal SATA was a bit pokey, but then they all are, would have been nice to have the 32GB SSD onboard. Silly partitioning on the internal SSD,

Other Thoughts: Definitely change the internal SATA out for a good SSD, I got the Cruicial M4 250GB for around $190, the performance is substantially improved with this upgrade. I posted in the Lenovo forum on how I made this work.

Its a good idea to re-partition this based on details available in the lenovo forum if you are technical enough, but this isn't necessary.

5 out of 5 eggsYet to see Wifi Issues

Pros: -Got it for $680 right before it went on sale for $720.
-Plenty of hard drive space
-The i7 on this is amazing and completely worth it.
-I have yet to see wifi issues that many people are mentioning on these models.
-Really light and all my friends are quite envious of me.

Cons: -Wish the ssd was 32gb instead of 24gb but w/e
-While using the computer browsing or doing simple tasks if the fan even kicks up, you feel a nice cool breeze. However if you are playing minecraft or any other light game, the fan blows hard and HOT!!! use a cooling pad while gaming.
-Windows 8, enough said.

Other Thoughts: I got this for $680 right before it went on sale for $720. Well worth it. I changed win8 to windows 7. using the ssd for express cache became an issue that took me about 3 days to figure out (use 32 bit intel raid drivers via f6 windows install, even if you are using a 64bit system trust me). I can't stand windows 8, everything is much much harder to get to. Shutdown and desktop being a prime example.

3 out of 5 eggsToo buggy to recommend

Pros: -Got a great deal from Newegg ($720 w/free external HDD)
-Core i7 is super fast
-Hybrid HDD boots fast as advertised
-Simple design, good build quality

Cons: -TOUCHPAD. Just Google Lenovo U410 touchpad. There are entire message boards devoted to the fact that gesture control stops working every time it's been on more than an hour or two. There are no solutions besides restarting.
-WiFi fails to automatically reconnect regardless of settings.
-Windows 8 apps rarely work as they should, and I think it's related to the WiFi problem. Even after I'm connected to the internet, most built-in apps can't connect.

Other Thoughts: If/when Lenovo updates their firmware, I'll update this review.

5 out of 5 eggsBest laptop

Pros: Thin, looks good, quiet, speed, features, discrete graphic card, battery life, 2 x usb3, price.

Cons: Win8. Not a real con, but just need time to get used to it.

Other Thoughts: Have a lenovo netbook for over 5 years, it still runs good. Purchased this laptop as a newyear gift for my daugter from another website (cost a little bit more), to replace her 4 year old asus. She loves this fast new machine.
