5 out of 5 eggsThis machine rocks!

Pros: My wife bought one of these laptops for school and I liked it so much that I bought one for myself. Understand that this review is being written by a 15 year UNIX/Linux gearhead that hasn't used Windows for anything since the 95/98 time period, but I really like Windows 8 on a device with a touch screen. This machine has the processor and RAM to run VMs and still be useful as a workstation, which is a must for me.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The item description is wrong. The S230U (33472GU) is equipped with 8GB of RAM, not 4GB as the description indicates.

5 out of 5 eggsThis thing is NICE

Pros: This thing rocks. The twisting takes a little getting used to, and at first I had some durability concerns, but after getting my hands on it, it seems rock solid. The touchscreen is bright, crisp, and very responsive. Quick to boot up and do most things. Haven't tried gaming on it yet, but im sure it will be up to the task.

Cons: Would have liked a full SSD in this thing. The data sheet newegg has is wrong, the drive in this is actually a hybrid. It has a 24 GB flash boot drive, and the rest of the 500 GB is an old fashioned spinner.

Other Thoughts: Overall, very happy with purchase. I thought about giving 4 eggs, but this thing is just too cool and you can't beat the price.
