5 out of 5 eggsBest laptop I've ever owner

Pros: Incredible reliability, speed, performance, beautiful display, great battery life.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've owned lots of Dell Inspirons, and Toshiba laptops over the years. This is my first Lenovo. Although I paid a lot more than I would like to spend on a laptop, I decided I wanted a replacement for my desktop. This has not dissapointed. I can't express enough how reliable this machine has been. I've had it for almost 2 years now. I replaced the stock 500GB 5400RPM drive with an SSD (Samsung 830 Pro), and I upgraded the memory to 16GB. I also replaced the internal DVD-RW for BD-R that I got on e..Bay for $75, and I bought the port replicator. I love this laptop and am sold on the T series reliability, and will continue to purchase T series laptops.

Also, unlike the other reviewer that claims there's bloatware, I find that the Lenovo Update facitlity is well built and ensures firmware updates are applied periodically. I had one issue once with the sound driver, but Lenovo fixed that quickly.

Sadly, I am done putting my own desktop systems together. This machine met and surpassed all of my needs.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid laptop

Pros: Contrary to the other review, I've not had a problem getting with getting to point of factory restoration with its pre-installed Windows 7 Pro. You can create recovery disks if you wish, which are for Windows 7 Pro. This laptop also ships with Windows 8 Pro disks if you would like to move forward.

If you wish to get back to factory settings without creating a set of disks, boot into the recovery prompt & perform a factory reset restoration. The recovery partition is assigned a Q: drive mapping when you are in Windows. If you are paranoid about your hard drive dependability, create a recovery media set for Win 7 using the preinstalled tools.

Bloatware is minor in my opinion. Less than the HPs & Dells, Samsungs, etc that I typically come across. You can remove whatever you wish.

Cons: Not so much a con, but I wish Lenovo made a 15" model laptop running an i7 chip with Win 7 Pro with a number pad. Obviously not a required for most purchases, but it is desired for some.

Other Thoughts: I've ordered at least a half a dozen of this exact model over the last 3 months.

1 out of 5 eggsLenovo is a JOKE!!

Pros: Fast laptop with good specs.

Cons: Comes pre installed with Windows 7 and ALOT of bloatware. Cannot do a clean install of Windows 7, have to use the 'bloatware' image it comes with (which broke when I uninstalled the Lenovo Power meter).
Comes with a Windows 8 license embedded in BIOS ... Windows 7 product key CANNOT be activated!!

Other Thoughts: False advertising, this laptop is only licensed for Windows 8 (the windows 7 image it comes with is BLOATED and buggy and you cannot use an OEM copy to reinstall a clean copy. Wasted and entire day thanks to LENOVO!!! Their only suggestion is to send me a copy of the restore CDs ... BUT I ORDERED TWO OF THESE WITH THE ASSUMPTION IT CAME WITH WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL PRODUCT KEYS!!!
