5 out of 5 eggsGreat price/performance

Pros: Dolby Home Theater 4
Dedicated GPU
Win 8 task manager and boot up times
switches from metro to desktop fast

Cons: A10 4600m would have been nice

Other Thoughts: I bought this machine for my brother's graduation present but he has no use for it because his parents already got him a laptop. Therefore I'm selling this machine on bay-e. I only used it twice to set up Win8 for him, it still has screen protector on. Auction starts at $400.

4 out of 5 eggsSome Flaws, but good for the coin

Pros: Cheap, decent specs, nice keyboard, great size, good weight.

Cons: track pad is horrible. not impressed with AMD processor, purple hardshell (didn't look it in the picture)

Other Thoughts: I'm a physics grad student and needed something that I could run multiple applications on for cheap. The $500 price tag with a dual video card, 4gb of ram and a quadcore processor seemed brilliant. I read the reviews and aside from some people not liking windows 8 and having issues with the track pad it seemed like a good investment. Right off the bat I noticed how weird the track pad was. It lagged and was unresponsive at time which is actually super annoying. I was a little nervous going AMD versus intel, but thought since I was going to be running a bunch of things at once it made more sense to go with the quad core instead of the intel i3. I'm beginning to wish I had gone intel, it's not horrible, but a few times a day the thing will sort of freeze up for a few seconds. It could be windows 8, I'm not exactly sold on it just yet and might jump back to 7 since I really have no use for the start screen. Aside from that this little laptop should be a decent work horse for the last 3-100 years I have left to graduate:) Given the option, I would buy this laptop again, just with the intel processor.

2 out of 5 eggs7 pro x64, still only 4gb

Pros: Again the APU and GPU work well for games and it's a great price

Cons: I must have gotten a bum machine. Either stick I try works fine in the first slot but even after using my Win 7 Pro x64 disc I only have 4 gigs of usable memory.

Other Thoughts: I'm dissappointed. I only use a laptop when I'm traveling and I wanted something cheap to play some games, which this does, but I feel like it could be better as reviews have shown AMD APUs improve significantly with more memory and of course going with dual channel instead of the single channel setup it ships with.

5 out of 5 eggsOK

Pros: It works fine I got this for a friend of mine and he is happy with it.

Cons: Windows 8 is the biggest piece of junk since Vista. My friend is really having a rough time with it.

Other Thoughts: Microsoft is heading down the drain I hope they wise up and start producing better software.I think Lenovo puts out a decent product time will tell.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid, Fast, love it

Pros: Well built aluminum case with a rugged plastic bottom, gets warm under heavy use but not to hot, dedicated graphics car works like a charm once you update to latest catalyst. Fast speeds on everything from load up to running programs. Love the some what raised keyboard and the built in Dolby theater controls

Cons: Keyboard isnt back lit, he mic picks up the fan noise do to poor placement, had to go into the mouse controls to disable palm check and a few other annoying features.

Other Thoughts: UPGRADE to 8gb of ram its a must and you see a performance boost in daily use and games on this already fast laptop which is very well built. Slow hard drive i went ahead and bought a 7200rpm 500gb and im looking to get a HDD caddy to replace my disk drive so i can have two hdd maybe put my os on a ssd and all my other programs on hdd.

4 out of 5 eggsBattery Life Review

Pros: Light weight, great performance for the hardware, bloatware is easily manageable. charges quicker than other laptops. large track pad. keyboard buttons are arranged comfortably and have great responsiveness. Doesn't heat up

Cons: Battery life is not the best, 3 hours for internet browsing and video streaming with speaker on 40%. I dont think it can go past 3 and a half hours on minimum brightness. this is still an improvement from my HP Envy 14, which never made it past 2 hours of a full charge but compared to other laptops on the market, this isn't that great. (yes I had turned off the graphics card before I timed the battery life)

Other Thoughts: Haven't tried gaming on it yet so I do not know how it handles heavy use.

5 out of 5 eggsread the reviews before buying

Pros: dual graphics, crystal clear screen, installed extra 4gb of ram and runs beautifully, ordered it and came through UPS in 4 days so pretty legit shipping.

Cons: battery life is pretty bad if you game, but of course this has dual graphics so kind of to be expected, may want to invest in a spare battery just to be safe. def do not game too much without it charging lol

Other Thoughts: should order some RAM when you order this laptop though.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat school laptop

Pros: Light weight. Everything works. No complaints so far.

Cons: None I can think of. My daughter loves it so far.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my daughter and let her pick out a cheap skin to give it some color. She loves it so far. Not a single complaint. Had windows 8 customized the way she likes her first day. Everything is snappy and she hasn't complained once. I'm very happy for a 500.00 laptop. I'd definitely buy another if I needed a second laptop. I'm now a huge fan of the AMD A series of processors.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome Labtop, Terrible Shipping

Pros: For the price this lab top is awesome, Bought it while it was on sale for $499 bought the extra 4gb ram, totally worth it to get the ext ram, runs all my games at medium settings and about 55 FPS which is great.

Cons: Windows 8 kind of sucks, but you can make it like windows xp vista or 7 with an App call classic shell, which was fine once i did it

Other Thoughts: Bought 3 day shipping for this as i wanted to get it as soon as possible, the OnTrac shipping company Fails hard core they shipped my part in the wrong direction and then when i asked why it didn't arrive to me when it should have they advise me it was shipping to the wrong place and they couldn't get it to me till 2 days after that because they do not deliver on Saturday, After numerous phone calls and finally getting someone at there customer service that was a complete moron, I was able to go to there warehouse and pick up my lab top, I would give it a 5 egg but i feel that you only get a 5 egg if shipping that you paid extra for would arrive to you on time and not have to pick it up. Newegg you did great, i would think you would use a more respectable shipping company OnTrac was the worst company i have ever dealt with ever

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Laptop

Pros: Windows 8, Dual Graphics, Dolby Home Theatre, Webcam, Sleek Design, Keyboard Design

Cons: 4GB Ram, Touchpad

Other Thoughts: Purchased this laptop for 499.99 when it was on sale. I was looking for a good gaming laptop that was cheap and I definitely found it with this one! I purchased another 4GB of ram as recommended by user reviews and it works very well. The webcam is a very clear picture, I couldn't believe it was that good! I am able to play my online game (Aion) with hardly any lag and on very high settings! Sims 3 works very good with no issues for anyone wondering. I haven't had any issues with any games so far. I love the keyboard design and the sleekness of the laptop!

The one thing I really dislike is the touchpad mouse. It's particularly sensitive as to where you press for the right and left mouse buttons and it moves a little too much for my liking. But that is a minor thing and I usually use a seperate mouse when I game so I won't even take off an egg for that!

Overall I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing a cheap gaming laptop that works well!
